'It's three times more prevalent right now': Yolanda Foster shockingly compares Lyme Disease to HIV during presser in Sydney

Yolanda Foster made a shocking comparison on Monday.

The 52-year-old compared the disease she suffers from to HIV during at an event in Sydney, according to News.Com.AU.

'We all pull together so beautifully for HIV,' the reality star began. 'Lyme is three times more prevalent right now, it’s a world-wide epidemic, the first case was diagnosed in 1972… yet we haven’t done anything about it.'

While HIV-AIDS has claimed an estimated 35 million lives globally, in the United States the Center For Disease Control estimates Lyme Disease has accounted for 114 deaths from 1999 to 2003.

Dr Brad McKay told AU that the comparison is a longshot: 'If HIV isn’t treated, people die. If Lyme Disease isn’t treated, then people can feel unwell for a very long time.'

Meanwhile, the beauty, who's been battling the debilitating ailment the past few years, continues sharing shots from the exotic locales she's frequented, including one of herself kneeling alongside a kangaroo in Sydney, Australia on Monday.
