The ride aboard 'Stronger Together' amounts to a show of support from Clinton, who got to breathe a sigh of relief Monday when FBI Director James Comey let her off the hook.

Abedin was effectively grounded after October 28, when Comey announced the stunning news that the bureau was taking another look at Clinton's emails.

It soon emerged that the bureau was examining the laptop of disgraced ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner, Abedin's husband, injecting Weiner's lurid activities into the presidential campaign, and making Abedin a distraction to her boss at the time her ultimate goal was within reach.

Abedin left Clinton's plane that Friday night, and hasn't been back on since.

She has gone to work at the campaign's Brooklyn headquarters, and participated in a big bucks fundraiser in Washington along with Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Then on Monday, just two days before Election Day, Comey dropped another bombshell, revealing that after a review of additional emails, the FBI was standing by its July decision – not to recommend criminal charges against the former Secretary of State.

The campaign never said if Abedin was being kept off for reasons having to do with optics, or other reasons.

Weiner, who DailyMail.com revealed is being investigated for online communications with an underage girl, then checked himself into a rehab facility that treats people with cybersex disorders.

Abedin therefore had to deal not only with the FBI situation, but with caring for her four-year-old son Jordan without an assist from her husband.
