Staying afloat! Hayden Panettiere beams during trip to the Dead Sea after stint in Utah treatment center for postpartum depression

She sought treatment over the summer in Utah after struggling to cope with postpartum depression.

But actress Hayden Panettiere looked healthy and happy as she floated in one of the world's saltiest bodies of water.

'Swimming in the Dead Sea!!! One of the most incredible things I've ever done #HandsDown,' the 27-year-old star captioned an image of herself in a red swimsuit.

The Nashville star donned the bright crimson suit as she flashed a huge grin for the camera.

She held her arms outstretched and feet above the water while comfortably relaxing in the lake which is bordered by Israel, Palestine and Jordan.

Her signature blonde locks were swept back in a tight bun and she went fresh-faced, allowing her natural beauty to shine through.

Back in May Hayden announced via Twitter: 'The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life.'

'It does heal': The 27-year-old star has suffered from postpartum depression since the birth of her daughter Kaya in December 2014 who she welcomed with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko

'Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!' she added.

The two-time Golden Globe nominee also sought treatment in October 2015 for her symptoms.

And in a case of art imitating real life, her Nashville character Juliette Barnes also struggled with postpartum on the most recent season of the country music soap.

During a guest appearance on Live with Kelly and Michael in September 2015, Hayden related to other women who suffered in the same way.

'I can very much relate. It's something a lot of women experience. When [you’re told] about postpartum depression you think it’s "I feel negative feelings towards my child, I want to injure or hurt my child,"' she described.

'I’ve never, ever had those feelings,' the beauty explained. 'Some women do but you don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on.'

'It needs to be talked about': In a case of art imitating real life, her Nashville character Juliette Barnes also struggled with postpartum on the most recent season of the country music soap

She continued: 'It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal.'

Meanwhile Hayden will return as country pop singer Juliette Barnes for season five in Nashville which will air on the CMT network after ABC cancelled the show on May 12.

The fate of her character was literally up in the air as Nashville finished its fourth season in May with Juliette seemingly involved in a plane crash.

She will be joined in the music-oriented drama by co-stars Connie Britton as country queen Rayna James and Charles Esten as Deacon Claybourne.

Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen, and Chris Carmack are also returning for season five.
