Tina Knowles removes Instagram snap of Solange and Jay Z in elevator that evoked 2014 Met Gala family fight

Tina Knowles posted and deleted an Instagram photo on Monday of daughter Solange and Jay Z recently in an elevator together.

The 62-year-old mother of Solange and Beyonce quickly removed the image showing Jay Z smiling while riding with Solange.

The photo appeared to be taken on Saturday when Solange performed on Saturday Night Live and was supported by her family.

Solange, 30, famously attacked her brother-in-law Jay Z, 46, in May 2014 after the Met Gala in New York City.

Jay Z, Solange and her sister Beyonce, 35, were in an elevator descending from a party when security footage showed an intense family fight.

Solange clearly could be seen kicking and swinging at Jay Z after they stepped into the elevator in video obtained by TMZ.

A bodyguard tried to hold Solange back but she still connected several blows against the rapper.

Beyonce in the video looked on rather impassively and showed no emotion as the trio emerged from the elevator.

They issued a joint statement after the incident at The Standard Hotel.

'As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it,' they said in a statement.

'Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family,' the statement continued.

Tina, Beyonce and Jay Z were on hand as Solange ws the musical guest over the weekend on Saturday Night Live.

They all attended an after party together after the NBC comedy sketch show.
