She's enjoying a lengthy visit to London after relocating to Los Angeles earlier this year.

And Danielle Bux was certainly making the most of her stay, getting dolled up for the annual Battersea Dogs & Cats Home fundraiser on Thursday evening.

The Welsh model and actress, 37, was certainly the belle of the ball, threatening to steal the attention away from the adorable puppy joining her on the red carpet.

Gorgeous: The Welsh model and actress, 37, was certainly the belle of the ball in her elegant silk gown 

Danielle - who was granted a divorce from Gary Lineker in January - graced the red carpet at Battersea Evolution in a striking silk gown with a racy thigh-high split running up her right leg.

The plunging number boasted a halterneck crossover style, offering a glimpse of the large script tattoo under her arm as she cuddled up to the cute pooch.

The star's inking, a quote from Shakespeare's Measure For Measure, reads: 'Our doubts are traitors, And make us lose the good we oft might win.' 

In keeping with the event's animal theme, Danielle carried a leopard print clutch bag and set off her look with strappy silver heels.

Celebrating its eighth successful year, the high-profile event raises vital funds for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s work in rescuing and re-homing abandoned dogs and cats.

This year’s star line-up, from the world of TV, music, film, sport and fashion including Battersea Ambassadors Dame Jacqueline Wilson and David Gandy, and friends of the Home such as Craig Revel Horwood, Dr Christian Jessen, Harry Hill and Sister Sledge.

Britain’s Got Talent gymnastics troupe Spellbound opened the glittering event with a breath-taking performance.

Speaking about the return of the gala, Claire Horton, Battersea’s Chief Executive said: 'The Collars & Coats Gala Ball is a truly unique event, celebrating our animals and raising money to care for the 8,000 dogs and cats that come through our gates, abandoned and terrified each year.
