While Taylor has not discussed the election until now and hasn't revealed who she supports, Verge reporter Kaitlyn Tiffany suggests her Instagram photo on Tuesday contained a clue.

It comes as something of a surprise that Google users wanted to know who Taylor Swift was voting for above everyone else, as the rest of the people making up the top five are tied to politics.

Coming in second was Monica Lewinsky, the former White House intern who had an affair with Bill Clinton, leading him to be impeached from office in 1999.

In third, fourth and fifth place respectively were former President George Bush, Al Gore, who served as Bill Clinton's Vice President, and Mitt Romney, the Republican Party's nominee for President in 2012.

In 2012, Taylor said during an interview that she while she follows politics, she actively stays out of discussions about who she supports.

'I follow it, and I try to keep myself as educated and informed as possible,' she said. 'But I don’t talk about politics because it might influence other people.'
