Scarlett Johansson debuts 'nude' suit in Ghost in the Shell teaser... after discussing whitewashed role
Paramount Pictures released the first teaser of Scarlett Johansson wearing her Ghost in the Shell character's 'nude' thermoptic suit on Monday.
The 31-year-old actress - who plays existential robo-cop The Major/Motoko Kusanagi - emerged from water clad in her invisible armor after punching an unidentified man.
The 14-second teaser is just another tiny glimpse at the live-action adaptation of Mamoru Oshii's 1995 anime feature and Masamune Shirow's 1989 manga series.

The 2070-set reimagining - hitting UK/US theaters March 31 - centers on 'what it means to be human' and it's being directed by philandering filmmaker Rupert Sanders.
Upon news of Scarlett's casting in January of 2015, fans and media action groups accused producers of 'whitewashing' the iconically Japanese character.
The whole point of mass-producing this particular 'full-body prosthesis' as a normal Niihama woman was in order to make her 'inconspicuous.'
'Oh gosh, now you're going to bring in all of my insecurities! I don't know if I was the right person,' Johansson - whose ancestors were Danish and Polish - admitted to Collider last week.

'I think it would blow her mind,' the Captain America star told E! News in September.
'I imagine everything in her mind is a little bit sort of trippy to begin with, so I think just seeing my voice coming out of a porcupine like that, especially a punk rock porcupine, it might be a little overwhelming for her.'
Scarlett covers Carly Rae Jespen's Call Me Maybe as Ash in Universal Studios' animated musical, which hits US theaters December 21 and UK theaters January 27.
