Meghan Markle's Australian connection! Prince Harry's girlfriend gushes over Home And Away star Pia Miller on social media

Meghan Markle became the talk of the town this week when her romance with Prince Harry was finally confirmed. 

Now, it has been revealed the striking Suits actress has an unexpected Australian connection in the form of her adoration for Home And Away actress Pia Miller.

In a post shared 24 weeks ago on Instagram, the 35-year-old brunette gushed about her friend Pia alongside an image of text that read: 'Beauty is entertaining. Depth is impresive.'

In the caption, Meghan wrote: 'When @piamiller sends you some #foodforthought. Brilliant one, my friend - thanks for sharing. You are both entertaining and impressive. Xx'

Pia simply responded with: 'word' and a love heart emoji. 

While it's unclear as to whether the pair have actually met, they have certainly collaborated creatively in the past, with Pia contributing to Meghan's blog, The Tig.

In a post titled Mother Knows Best, Pia detailed intimate aspects of her childhood and important messages she learned from her mother growing up.  

Prince Harry finally confirmed he has been dating Suits actress Meghan Markle for 'a few months' on Tuesday with an official statement. 

The 32-year-old said he is 'worried about Ms Markle's safety' following the 'wave of abuse and harassment' she has faced since rumours of their relationship first surfaced nine days ago.
