'Our kids have played together': Jennifer Lopez tells Rove & Sam about playdates with neighbour Chelsea Clinton's children

Jennifer Lopez is not just a supporter of Hillary Clinton, she's friends with her daughter too.

The American singer and actress lives next door to Chelsea Clinton and revealed to Rove & Sam on Wednesday that their children have playdates.

'Our kids have played together,' Jennifer, 47, told the 2day FM hosts.

Jennifer Lopez always looks picture-perfect. With a body to die for, it's no wonder the star always dons super short clingy dresses.

As she made her way to a VMAs after party in New York, J-Lo once again showed off her figure in this gold number by Balmain.

The Shades Of Blue star has twin eight-year-olds Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Chelsea and her husband Marc Mezvinsky have a two-year-old daughter Charlotte and four-month old son Aidan.

JLo moved in next door to Chelsea back in 2014, buying a reporter $25 million (US $22 million) penthouse at The Whitman located north of Madison Square Park in New York. 

There is only four apartments in the building so it's no surprise they've become friends.

Jennifer also told the radio hosts why she's supporting Hillary to be the first female president of the United States. 

'Our country deserves a great leader not someone who dabbles in politics, I want someone who knows what they're doing.

'We deserve that and she has tremendous experience and tremendous heart and it takes a lot to be in the public eye, I know that.

She added: As women we get bullied, we have to work just a tiny bit harder, we have to show we're more qualified and I am with her, I do believe for this election she's the right person for the job.'

Jennifer has been very vocal this election year, especially in urging Hispanic voters to support Clinton.

She performed at a rally in Florida urging the state to use their vote on election day in between renditions of Respect and Let's Get Loud.
