Collection and use of consumer information
For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible).

We collect only the domain name, but not the e-mail address of visitors to our Web page, aggregate information on what pages consumers' access or visit, information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual visitor.

Customer email lists: collection, usage and preference options
By supplying NFPA with your email address (while creating an account on our website, placing an order on-line or through our call center, requesting catalog or other information, or during an NFPA hosted event, etc.), we will use that email address for NFPA marketing solicitations and electronic newsletter deployments. You can opt-out of these electronic communications at anytime by following the instructions in our emails or by logging into your on-line NFPA profile and visiting the email preference page. In addition to the emails just described, all NFPA Members, as part of their member benefits, receive NFPA Journal Update and other Member information.  If you are an NFPA Member and would like to opt-out of receiving these NFPA Member Benefit emails, you may contact customer service, or call us at 1-800-344-3555.

From time to time, we make the email addresses of those who register on our site available to other reputable organizations whose products and services we think you might find interesting. For sponsored training events, we may also provide your email address to the event sponsor(s). If you do not want to NFPA to share your email address with other organizations, please register your email address to be suppressed from third party sharing.

Persons who supply us with their telephone or fax numbers on-line may receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders they have placed on-line or information regarding new products and services or upcoming events. With respect to Ad Servers: We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

Credit card transactions
NFPA has a ‘Secure’ transaction system in place to verify and protect your credit card information. NFPA’s Online Catalog only accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Purchase orders are accepted online. Please see our Payment Policy for details.

NFPA membership lists
From time to time, NFPA may make its customer lists available to other reputable organizations whose products or services you might find interesting. NFPA does not rent its membership list to other organizations; however it is possible that members might be included in our customer lists if they have purchased merchandise from NFPA.
