Amy Duggar denies 'any rift' with reality show cousins after skipping Jinger's wedding to go to Vegas instead

Over 1,000 people were on hand Saturday to watch Jinger Duggar walk down the aisle and say 'I do' to Jeremy Vuolo, but one person who was not in attendance was her cousin, Amy Duggar.

But, she explained to Entertainment Tonight, it wasn't that she wasn't invited; she'd just already scheduled a romantic trip to Las Vegas with her husband Dillon King.

'I was absolutely invited. I love my family! There is no rift between me and my cousins at all. It was just wrong timing,' Amy, 30, told the TV show.  'We already had something scheduled.'

No rift: Amy Duggar King spent the weekend in Las Vegas with husband Dillon King leading to speculation she hadn't been invited to her cousin Jinger Duggar's Saturday wedding

There had been speculation that Amy wasn't at her cousin's nuptials due to some kind of feud with the Duggars due to her more liberal lifestyle and forthright views about her disgraced cousin Josh Duggar.

Amy has not been seen with the family at all since February, when she opened up about her life in a revealing interview with People. She has also not appeared on any of the first two seasons of the Duggar family's new TLC reality show, Counting On.

But, Amy says, she and Dillon had to be in Sin City to attend the 2017 SEMA Show, an automotive specialty products trade show, where his truck was being sponsored.

Dillon owns a hydrographics company called Wet Ink Design that does printing for vehicles.

Prior engagement: Amy, 30, told ET she had been invited to her cousin's nuptials but that she and Dillon had a longstanding commitment to be in Sin City for an automotive and truck show

Business first: Dillon owns a hydrographics company called Wet Ink Design that does printing for vehicles and he had a truck being sponsored at the trade show

Newlyweds: Jinger, 22, married former soccer player Jeremy Vuolo, 29, in front of 1,000 guests at the Cathedral of the Ozarks at John Brown University in Arkansas

'This was planned a year in advance, so there was no way I could let my husband go without me,' she explained. 'I let my family know I loved them and that I couldn’t make it.'

Amy, who has attended the weddings of her other cousins Josh, Jill and Jessa, did send Jinger well-wishes on her big day with an Instagram photo.

She added the message: 'Love you Jinger! My heart is back home but my feet are in Vegas! Miss you.'

So far, so good: On Monday, Jinger posted this photo to her Instagram and declared her undying devotion to her new hubby

In February, Amy revealed in an exclusive cover story with People that she was not a virgin when she got married to her husband.

Amy said that while she and Dillon waited until their wedding night before having sex together, she had already lost her virginity to someone else before then - although she does not say who.

Speaking about her decision not to follow her family's very strict courtship rules - which prohibit all pre-marriage contact, save for chaste 'side hugs' - Amy explained that she feels couples need more of a 'physical connection' before getting married, one which she and her husband found by allowing kissing before marriage.

Been there, done that: Amy and Dillon tied the knot in September 2015 with the extended Duggar family in attendance

'I think kissing before marriage should happen,' she added to the publication, before saying: 'We decided not to have sex before marriage. That was our decision.'

Amy explained that the couple has also made the decision to use birth control, in an attempt to make as much of their married life together as a couple as possible, before they have children - an ideology which could not be more different to that of the rest of the Duggar clan.

Indeed, Amy's uncle Jim Bob and his wife Michelle, as well as many of their children, have spoken out on a number of occasions about their decision to let God decide how many kids they should have, rather than relying on any form of contraception.

Together: The last time Amy was seen with the Duggar family was at her wedding
