She's the acclaimed actress that often cuts a chic figure.

But on Tuesday, Cate Blanchett opted for a far edgier look while filming scenes for the Ocean's Eight reboot in New York.

The 47-year-old highlighted her svelte frame in a leather jacket and skintight black trousers as she doted over one-year-old adopted daughter Edith Upton, who joined her on set.

Cate cut an edgy figure in a fitted black jacket that skimmed over her lithe arms and petite upper frame.

Teaming the look with her tight pants, the Academy Award winner accentuated her lean legs.

Elongating her frame with a pair of stylish ankle boots, Cate's best accessory was in the form of her one-year-old adopted daughter Edith, who she carried on her hip.

The Elizabeth star also drew attention to a flawless beauty look, consisting of sleek tresses with a blunt fringe, a blemish-free visage and a soft pink lip. 

Edith, who Cate shares with husband Andrew Upton, looked cute as a button in a simple white long-sleeved top, teamed with a pair of striped leggings and coordinating grey trainers.

With her short blonde locks swept into a half-up, half-down do, the precious tot lent in close to her famous mother.

Cate adopted Edith in March last year, with husband Andrew Upton.

The couple also share three biological children: Dashiell, 14, Roman, 12, and Ignatius.

Speaking to Good Morning America last year, the Aussie export revealed that her three sons had taken to their sibling with much love and affection.

She told host George Stephanopoulos: 'We have been blessed, we have been really blessed.

'I have three boys and a girl she's great.'

'It is a wonderful thing when you see your children becoming a pack, sort of independent of you and I am very proud of my sons,' she continued.

Ocean's Eight is an upcoming American crime drama, directed by Gary Ross and is the first spin-off of the Ocean's Trilogy starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

The reboot, set for release in 2018, will star an all-female cast including stars such as Sandra Bullock, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway and even singer Rihanna.
