Jax Taylor has lashed out on Instagram after his girlfriend Brittany Cartwright was body shamed for gaining a little weight.

The media personality wasn't messing around as he stated that he will get any accounts shut down if they resort to that kind of 'bullying'.

Jax wrote: 'Negative comments about myself or the cast, I don't care, you have NO life and are looking for attention BUT... Bullying, body shaming will not be tolerated.'

'I will block you and blast your comments and have your account shut down, my friends work at Instagram and our huge fans of our show.'

He added: 'So please....TRY ME!!! You have been warned.'

Additionally he shared another warning in his Instagram bio reading: 'All negative comments will be deleted and you will be blocked.'

Making his point loud and clear, Jax disabled comments on the post.

The message comes after his girlfriend Brittany Cartwright received cruel comments on social media, with some users criticising her slightly fuller figure.

Jax's stern warnings came a day after the fifth season of Vanderpump Rules premiered.

Meanwhile, Jax and his girlfriend have both spoken openly about going under the knife in the past.

Last year, in the fourth season of his show, the Sur bartender revealed he had a third nose job as he didn’t like the way it looked after the second.

And earlier this year Jax persuaded his Hooters waitress girlfriend to get large breast implants on an episode of Vanderump Rules, and paid for the surgery himself.

He told her to go for a 'full D' breast enlargement, instead of the C-cup she was considering.

'It's not just for you, it's for me,' he shockingly told her, adding to the camera: 'Who doesn't love big boobs?'
