The 35-year-old and her husband Jared Kushner, 35, were without their children when they stepped out of their Park Avenue apartment on Wednesday morning.

Although Ivanka and her family were up waiting for the final results for most of the night she looked relaxed and surprisingly well-rested as she headed to Trump Tower.

Add a chic finish to your look with Ivanka's pumps

OK, we admit it. We're actually quite intrigued by Melania Knauss-Trump as the first lady- for her closet alone. The woman is quite the fashionista.

As is her step daughter Ivanka, although she has a decidedly more conservative approach to dressing. Here Ivanka is looking classic and chic in a pair of black trousers and a pea coat which she has set off with a pair of dark wine red suede pumps and a black bag from her eponymous collection.

They're the perfect pair of pumps, the sophisticated silhouette will add a decadent finish to all your finest fall looks. Ivanka's 'Carra' pumps are from her own line and cost a very reasonable $134.95. Click right to Nordstrom now to check them out, there are an array of other colors available too.

The couple work close to their home, and they often walk to the office together, sometimes with their children Arabella, five, Joseph, three, and Theodore, six-months in tow.

And while they left their kids home, the two happily stuck to their normal routine following the election.

The whole Trump clan was hard at work throughout Tuesday, showing their support on social media and taking their children with them to the polling stations.

Eric and his wife Lara even celebrated their two-year anniversary in the Trump war room Tuesday night. They tied the knot on November 8, 2014 at Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida.

Three generations of Trumps were represented as Donald Jr's daughter Kai posed for a group picture with the rest of the family.

Melania donned a $3,990 white luxe, Italian silk jumpsuit by Ralph Lauren and Tiffany wore an ice blue dress by Anne Bowen. A price tag is unavailable for Tiffany's dress because it was custom made. She recycled it from her last appearance at the Las Vegas debates.
