She can stand under her umbrella-ella-ella! Rihanna stays dry in the downpour as she prepares to shoot scenes on the set of Ocean's Eight

The rain continued to pour on Wednesday evening as a downcast Rihanna made her way across the set of forthcoming crime drama Ocean’s Eight.

Shielding herself beneath a large umbrella, the R&B superstar, 28, kept her eyes lowered to the soggy ground as she made her way across the exterior set in New York City.

As always Rihanna looked on-trend in a pair of heavily ripped jeans and scuffed hiking boots, while an extravagant black coat – casually draped across her shoulders – ensured she stayed warm.

Go supersize with Rihanna's jacket from her Puma collection

Of all the recent celebrity collaborations - from Gigi Hadid X Tommy Hilfiger, to Kate Moss X Equipment - none has been quite so lionized as Rihanna X Puma.

Every time new items drop they seem to sell like hot-cakes and don't even get us started on the prolifically popular creeper trainers, spotted on pretty much every celebrity we can think of.

Here, Rihanna is championing the over-sized faux fur bomber jacket from her range. It's got her statement vibes written all over it and is perfect for channeling the singer's fashion-forward dress sense.

Rihanna's gone supersize with her jacket, so if you'd prefer something slightly more fitted, head to our edit below where you'll find faux fur bombers from ASOS, Gallery, New Look and Bagatelle.

Just hours earlier divisive billionaire Donald Trump became US President elect after an emphatic victory against Democrat Hillary Clinton.

And Rihanna, who joined friends Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Jay Z in voting for Clinton, looked justifiably subdued as she took a break between takes shortly after  Trump's win was confirmed.
