'Love Trumps Hate!' Clinton supporter Lady Gaga stays on message in branded T-shirt just one day after the presidential election

After Tuesday nights presidential debate, social media has been up in arms with conflicting views on the result.

However, Lady Gaga injected a little love and irony as she took to the streets of New York City on Wednesday.

Just one day after Donald Trump won the 2016 Presidential Election, Lady Gaga stepped out in a white T-shirt with the words: 'Love Trumps Hate' written across her chest.

The Poker Face singer added a pair of denim jeans and black aviator sunglasses to her look.

She tied her long blonde locks back into a low bun as she made her way to an awaiting vehicle.

Celebrities from all over have expressed their opinions on social media and Lady Gaga reinforced her idea with her Instagram on Tuesday.

She took a black and white photo of her holding up a sign that read: 'Love Trumps Hate.

She captioned the shot: 'I want to live in a #CountryOfKindness #LoveTrumpsHate He divided us so carelessly. Let's take care now of each other.'

However, her post of course came with a mixed reaction from her fans.

One follower commented: 'How about you grow up and accept the outcome that was put forth by America and realize that a famous name isn't going to change the right to freedom to vote for our future based off of our individual thoughts and feelings.'

Some were against Trump and defending themselves: 'I don't want a president who tells men it is okay to grab woman by the p**** without consent. What he CAN do is keep the pay gap, and take away our reproductive rights.
