Boss: The movie is written and directed by Warren Beatty, who attended with Annette Bening

She explained: 'I was fired from Antz, that animated movie. Apparently I was a bad ant.

'I had my own (voice) but then they brought in Sharon Stone, so I was like, ‘Oh, you really did go a different (direction). She's down here, she's like old movie star vixen, you know.

'What was upsetting was that they even called me the week before they fired me, they called me to tell me how great I was.

'Which I felt, like, was like a set-up, but I think they meant it at that time.'

How exciting: The duo play lovers in Warren's latest film Rules Don't Apply, which is released on November 23
