Life is looking pretty good for John Terry right now - his Chelsea team are in great Premier League form, and he's enjoying a family holiday in sunny Dubai.

Terry shared pictures of himself and his wife Toni on Instagram as they relax during the two week break from club fixtures, after jetting off following Chelsea's 5-0 battering of Everton on Saturday.

With the former England captain no longer required for international duty, he can instead take some rest in the blistering heat, while his countrymen prepare for a tough clash with Scotland at what promises to be an icy cold Wembley.

JOHN TERRY THIS SEASON

Games: 7

Starts: 5

Minutes played: 469

Clean sheets: 1 (v Burnley)

Terry shared a snap of himself and Mrs Terry sucking on ice lollies below clear blue skies, attempting to cool off in temperatures which could reach as high as 34 degrees this week.

He also photographed himself and his wife relaxing on their sunbeds by the pool, wet footprints in evidence as proof of a recent dip.

The pic, which features Toni Terry's tanned beach body as well as his Premier League footballer's physique, is cheekily captioned: 'Looking incredible Mrs T'.

It's not all rest and relaxation however, with Terry still keeping in shape despite recently having no more than a bit part role at Chelsea.

The 35-year-old captioned a third picture - of himself and his wife dressed for dinner in front of the Burj Al Arab - 'Dinner with Mrs T and the kids after our family run this evening.'

Terry remains captain of the London club - as the fans put it, 'captain, leader, legend' - but is no longer the first name on the team sheet as he was for a decade.

He signed a new one-year deal at Chelsea last summer, but it remains to be seen if he will keep playing beyond the end of this season.
