Restaurant chefs have revealed the dishes you should avoid ordering at certain eateries. They include, from left to right: Wagyu or kobe beef; oysters; anything with hollandaise sauce; seafood if you're not by the coast; beef well done; and any chicken dish. But do you agree?

A 'volatile' and 'immature' young mother who downed two bottles of cider before leaving her 14-month-old daughter alone in the bath to drown has been jailed. Jasmine Gregory, 24, was given a sentence of just three years after being convicted of of manslaughter by a unanimous jury at Oxford Crown Court. However, she could be free after just serving 18 months of her sentence.

A series of stunning images show Barack Obama's time as the current and 44th President of the United States. The photographs, the majority of which were taken by Chief Official White House photographer Pete Souza, show the president in lighthearted as well as serious moments. Obama can be seen having fun with children, meeting with former US presidents and even sitting in the situation room for the May 2011 mission against Osama Bin Laden. Souza's 'Year in Photos' albums on the White House Flickr account covering Obama go back to 2009. It's believed the photographer has snapped approximately 2million photographs of the president.

After his inauguration as the 45th President in January Donald Trump will have to give up his own plane, with its luxury fittings, and fly around the country and beyond on Air Force One. Trump's own plane (pictured, top right) has wood panelling and 'yards and yards of elegant silk', silk pillows embroidered with his family crest (bottom right) and gold and marble bathrooms (bottom left). The Trump Organization's Vice President of Marketing, Amanda Miller (top left) conducted a video tour of the plane after it was refitted at a cost of $100m. But the Commander-in-Chief will have to use Air Force One because it is specially kitted out with equipment which allow the Commander-in-Chief to use it as a mobile command center in the event of conflict or natural disaster.

The awkward photos released of President Barack Obama's meeting with Donald Trump has led many on the internet to mock the two men. Social media users took to Twitter soon after the White House released the picture, which showed the two men sitting in chairs inside the Oval Office and not looking at one another. More photos and video was released soon after, but many continued to comment on that uncomfortable first look at the two men. It was the first time they had met, after years of Trump claiming Obama was not born in the United States and the President saying the past few weeks on the campaign trail that Trump was unfit to lead this country.

Hillary Clinton's closest aide wept as she went back to the Brooklyn headquarters of the doomed bid for the presidency. The future for Abedin, 40, is unclear and her marriage is over. The aide has worked for nobody except Clinton since she was an intern for the then First Lady in Bill Clinton's White House. Throughout the campaign she was at her boss's side - but then with less than two weeks to go until polling day the FBI explosively revealed they were looking at 650,000 of her emails found on her pervert ex-husband Anthony Weiner's laptop. He is being investigated for sexting a 15-year-old. The revelation is being blamed by Clinton aides for - at least in part - costing them the campaign. Abedin, 40, has seen her marriage collapse during the campaign when Weiner was caught sexting an adult, and was herself under FBI investigation for her handling of classified material.

This is the moment British aristocrat's son came face to face with the huge £4.5million cocaine haul he is accused of smuggling. Jack Marrian, 31, the grandson of the sixth Earl Cawdor, was arrested in July after the alleged discovery of 220lbs of cocaine hidden in bags of sugar being shipped from Brazil to Uganda, via the Kenyan port of Mombasa. Giles Deacon, 47, who designed Abbey Clancey's wedding dress when she married footballer Peter Crouch in 2011, was snapped visiting the Duchess of Cambridge's sister's home in London. Val Kilmer was struggling to speak on Thursday as he made his first public appearance since once again denying that he has throat cancer. The 56-year-old appeared at a screening of the film version of his play Citizen Twain in Los Angeles, where he told the crowd why he had to cancel his tour for the one-man show. 'I went into rehearsals down in Florida and started having trouble with my speech,' he said. 'Obviously I'm still recovering. My tongue swelled up and I canceled the tour. As I'm recovering I'm showing this.'

They were moved by his idea to hold a celebration walk for the whippet before he gets put down. Ruth struggled to hold it together as Mark wiped away his own tears with Walnut sat wrapped in a blanket on his lap. Notorious gangland 'untouchables' have been locked up for more than 135 years after a pub landlord inadvertently spent three years blowing the lid on their reign of terror - to an undercover policeman. Publican Terence Hamer, 45, (bottom left) took a regular under his wing unaware he was an officer assigned to infiltrate the local criminal underworld. Between 2012 and 2015 the officer, who went by the alias 'John Sherwood', masqueraded as a businessman running a café in Salford, Manchester, in order to befriend and catch gang members with an arsenal of weapons. Senior police chiefs are now calling for him to be commended for his bravery, saying they could not send a 'rookie' into the tough area and adding he had to be 'credible simply to stay alive' and 'sacrificed his life'. Today, gang members including (clockwise from top left) Thomas Conway, Gloria Power and Michael Conway were sent to prison.

Thousands of Scottish football fans took over London today ahead of a historic showdown against the 'auld enemy' England at Wembley tonight. The Tartan Army set up base at Trafalgar Square (inset) - which hosted the annual Silence In The Square event earlier in the day - ahead of the World Cup qualifying match, with many monuments draped with the Scottish Saltire flag. The Scottish FA pleaded with Tartan Army fans to be respectful of commemorations this morning (pictured above), with the travelling Scots immaculately preserving silences across the capital. But it changed later in the afternoon, with attentions turning towards the crunch match with England - while one fan stripped off and jumped into the fountain still full of paper poppies (shown bottom) from the morning's events.

The 42-year-old driver has been released on bail after his arrest on suspicion of manslaughter. The first victim named was 19-year-old Dane Chinnery (top right with mother Beverley), a local labourer and Crystal Palace fan who was described as 'lovely, caring and beautiful' on social media. Mourners continue to lay flowers at the scene today (top left) and the community came together for a special Armistice Day service that also remembered all those affected by the crash.

Jonathan Haswell (pictured left) believed he had been sending graphic messages and pictures of his private parts to a 15-year-old girl online. But the 44-year-old had been snared by Dark Justice, a two-man organisation set up to catch men looking for sex with underage girls. Haswell had told the schoolgirl online they could watch pornographic films together and copy what was happening on screen (shown right). When Haswell turned up to a pre-arranged meeting in Newcastle city centre he confessed he was carrying a pornographic movie.

GoPro has recalled its Karma drone after it has been found to lose power mid-flight and plummet to the ground. In a video shared this week a man playing baseball was nearly hit by the flying camera when it landed just in front of him. The video was uploaded by owner Nicholas Kulick, who wrote: 'I was maybe a minute into flying when I started recording. It was hovering and just crashed. Battery was fully charged any everything.'

Britain stopped to remember its glorious war dead today as Prince Harry lead the nation in remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum. The 32-year-old boarded a helicopter at Kensington Palace this morning to fly to the Service of Remembrance at the Armed Forces Memorial in Staffordshire (main picture) with representatives from the Army, Navy and RAF to mark Armistice Day. Meanwhile in stirring scenes across the country, schoolchildren, veterans and military top brass stood side-by-side in silent reflection to mark the exact time when allied forces declared an end to fighting with Germany 98 years ago. At 11am millions took part in two minutes of silence - in London thousands stood in Trafalgar Square (bottom right) and around the Cenotaph memorial. In Bristol 19,420 figurines were laid out on College Green (top right), representing the number of men who died at the Battle of the Somme.

Navy ship Wave Knight launched a Lynx helicopter to fire shots at the traffickers to bring their speedboat to a stop following a dramatic six-hour chase across the Caribbean. Once the boat was brought to a halt, a specialist team of US coast guards boarded the craft and recovered 14 bales of illegal narcotics. Tests revealed it to be 350kg of cocaine with a wholesale value on the streets of more than £14million had those drugs reached the UK.

Karen Danczuk's new Spanish toyboy David has moved into her house in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, and brought a number of belongings with him - including a joint of ham. The selfie queen, 33, kissed her new waiter boyfriend as she helped him bring items into her home (right). Footage shows the 20ft-long reptile coming through the ceiling tiles in front of shocked customers. The video shows the snake being guided out by workers at the restaurant using a metal hook. It is not clear exactly where the footage was filmed but people in the video can be heard speaking Cantonese, suggesting that it may have been in Hong Kong. One person can be heard saying: 'Look how big it is!' Another adds: 'How disgusting!'

The cute footage shows three-year-old Max hugging and nuzzling Piper, two, at their home in Mission in British Columbia, Canada. In the clip, black cat Max has his arm around Piper, a tortoiseshell, and starts licking his neck and the side of his face. Their owner, who shared the footage online, said he and his girlfriend got rescue cat Piper to give Max a friend while they were at work.

Vets have been left flummoxed after an unprecedented wave of injured hedgehogs came into their care - all suffering from broken legs. Eight hedgehogs were found with life-threatening fractures - but it remains a mystery as to how they received the injuries. The animals have been treated by a specialist orthopaedic vet and had X-rays at the centre in Surrey to assess the damage to their legs - and now sport colourful custom-made bandages to aid their recovery.

Firefighters battled to get the blaze under control in the city of Blagoveshchensk, eastern Russia. Dramatic footage shows a firefighter retreating down a ladder as the explosion of fireworks continued. More than 130 firefighters and around 40 fire trucks were sent to put out the fire. Three were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. It is not yet clear what caused the explosion.
