  • Her mother the Duchess of York was also in attendance this evening

Being of blue blood it Princess Beatrice is bound to come armed with Ps and Qs and exemplary table manners.

However, it seems that the young royal may be looking to brush up on her tips as tonight she attends the book launch of an etiquette guide.

Beatrice did not attend tonight's event in Mayfair alone being accompanied by her mother Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

The ex-wife of Prince Andrew followed her daughter's fashionable example also pictured in a military jacket complete with gold frogging.

However, it seems that Beatrice was more keen to hang out with the other stars in attendance.

The princess posed alongside the author of the book as well as Hollywood star Joan Collins during this evenings celebrations.

Meanwhile Fergie was not without company making fast friends with supermodel Kate Moss and actor Michael Caine this evening.

It should come as no surprise to see so many familiar faces at the launch this evening as David Tang is often referred to as Britain's best-connected man.

Also in attendance was Beatrice's mother Sarah Ferguson who is a close friend of Tang's but could also be seen getting pally with models Kate Moss and Eva Herzigova (right)

With his friendship circle encompassing politicians, actresses, royalty and supermodels is as enormous as it is eclectic.

So it is fair to say Tang knows a thing or two about how to  navigate the choppy waters of impeccable social etiquette.

Now the billionaire businessman is sharing his knowledge in a book of some of his most pertinent advice: Rules For Modern Life.

Actor Michael Caine also joined the party to support his friend who is often referred to as Britain's best-connected man

The wealthy businessman who spent his summer family holiday in Greece with close friends model Kate Moss and the Duchess of York said those eating out should not be afraid to ask for doggy bags in restaurants.

Other dining advice includes always bringing more than one bottle for your host and not to wait for others to be served before eating.

Handbags are regarded as 'bourgeouis' and essential items should be carried in a silk glove instead. Smart attire wins over casual every time - unless you're at the Chelsea Flower Show.

And when it comes to footwear, Sir David whose business portfolio includes fashion and lifestyle brands in addition to his popular China Tang restaurant at The Dorchester, claims flip flops and sandals are a no-go.
