President-elect Trump has been holding meetings at his Manhattan skyscraper as he continues to put together his White House team.

Lewandowski was officially booted from Team Trump in June, however it was revealed he was still on the Donald's payroll in September.

Financial disclosure documents showed he was paid $20,000 in August, which spokeswoman Hope Hicks said at the time was a 'severance payment'.

Lewandowski earned the same amount when he was running the campaign.

While he was getting paid by Trump, Lewandowski was part of CNN's coverage of the election.

He remained a prominent figure on the network's airwaves despite the seeming conflict of interest.

Lewandowski did little to hide his support of Trump, even celebrating Tuesday's election win in a series of tweets on Wednesday.

'Thank you America for electing @realDonaldTrump the next President of the United States. #Trumptrain,' he wrote.
