Even now, four days on, I can't quite believe it. It will be led by vice-president-elect Mike Pence, not Chris Christie. Ivanka was at Trump Tower for a meeting today and clearly delighted. Other members of the 12-person team include were (clockwise from top center) Eric, Don Jr, Mike Pence, who is in charge, and Jared Kushner, Ivanka's husband. The team also includes Steve Bannon, the ultra-conservative brains behind the final stages of the Trump campaign and Peter Thiel, the billionaire Silicon Valley investor who is a co-founder of PayPal and board member of Facebook.

Hillary Clinton's closest aide wept as she went back to the Brooklyn headquarters of the doomed bid for the presidency. The future for Abedin, 40, is unclear and her marriage is over. The aide has worked for nobody except Clinton since she was an intern for the then First Lady in Bill Clinton's White House. Throughout the campaign she was at her boss's side - but then with less than two weeks to go until polling day the FBI explosively revealed they were looking at 650,000 of her emails found on her pervert ex-husband Anthony Weiner's laptop. He is being investigated for sexting a 15-year-old. The revelation is being blamed by Clinton aides for - at least in part - costing them the campaign. Abedin, 40, has seen her marriage collapse during the campaign when Weiner was caught sexting an adult, and was herself under FBI investigation for her handling of classified material.

Anti-Trump rallies entered their fourth day Friday as demonstrators across the country kept disavowing the president-elect. In Miami, Florida, university students staged a peaceful march in the afternoon and hundreds began walking across the city at 6 pm (upper right). In New York, protesters for the fourth day gathered at Trump Tower in Midtown and rallied in Washington Square Park Friday afternoon (one of them is pictured left in Manhattan). Hundreds of students from at least five different Minneapolis high schools walked out of class and marched Friday afternoon to protest against Trump's election and the Dakota Access Pipeline (bottom right).

Sir Philip Green's 67-year-old wife (pictured together, right) is understood to be behind a company that has spent more than £10million on a London townhouse (left), which is now being renovated under her watchful eye. The news will no doubt anger BHS staff who lost their jobs and still face uncertainty over pensions following the collapse of the retail chain. It went into administration after Sir Philip - known as Sir Shifty - sold it for £1 to serial bankrupt Dominic Chappell, with a £571million pension scheme deficit. Lady Green, who controls the family fortune and is worth £5billion, was in London on Tuesday to visit the property.

Mother-of-five Denise Coates (pictured) has been named Britain's highest paid businesswoman after she took home a whopping £117.5million last year. The elfin 49-year-old, who lives in a £1.3million house (inset) close to her home city of Stoke-on-Trent is the daughter of Peter Coates (left), chairman of both Stoke City FC and Bet365. According to Forbes Magazine she has a net worth of £2.8billion. She founded the internet giant 15 years ago in a Portakabin in a Potteries car park after seeing the potential of online betting.

The postcards were drawn by Private Fergus Mackain, an advertising artist who enlisted in 1915 and served in France with the Royal Fusiliers. After being wounded in the Somme and taken out of front-line duty in 1917, he was transferred to the Royal Army Service Corps and began producing his postcards for soldiers. All the surviving cards Mackain drew, the majority of which are from a series called Sketches Of Tommy's Life, were recently collected together for the first time and published in a book ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

The attack occurred in Anaheim, California, on Tuesday. It started when the boy was set upon by the two dogs in the front yard of his home, before his mom came to his rescue. As the woman tried to get her son inside, she couldn't find her keys, and the dogs continue to maul the two. Surveillance footage shows the woman shielding her son with her body while trying to fight off the animals (main). Finally a neighbor who heard her screams came and grabbed the dogs. The little boy suffered extensive injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he underwent plastic surgery for a laceration to his face (inset).

The more parallel the pupil line and the line of the canine teeth, the better a smile was rated, the US dentists' experiment found. They said the findings 'may help remind the general public that an "attractive smile" is the sum of overall facial symmetry, and not just the teeth', adding that the perfect smile is 'not always achievable via dental modifications'.

Touching footage shows little Leah unwrapping a large parcel in her Surrey bedroom to find her father hiding inside after she hadn't seen him for two months. After a loud squeal of shock at finding a man in the box she cries, 'Daddy!' in excitement and throws herself into her father's arms. They hug tightly before Leah can't help but jump up and down in glee at her dad's surprise return from working abroad.

This is the shocking moment gunmen kidnapped a Brazilian father, forcing him to leave his five-year-old son stranded alone on the street late at night, as they hijacked and drove off with him in his car. Mercifully the child's cries were heard by his grandparents who came to his rescue shortly afterwards.
