A proper Charlie! Sheen shuffles around Hollywood in bathrobe and slippers for commercial

After his very public meltdown it would seem logical that the last person a company would want to promote their product is Charlie Sheen.

But the former Two and a Half Men star is obviously keen to embrace opportunities that come his way, even it means shuffling around in a bathrobe and slippers like he's the star of Cocoon rather than Platoon.

It's paying off, too , as the controversial star certainly seems to be continuing the comeback he mounted after he was unceremoniously booted off the show last year.

Charlie, 46 , certainly looked to be in a jovial mood as her larked around with the cast and crew, and didn't seem to mind his middle-aged attire.

He looked like an aged lounge lizard as he strolled around in his bathing robe, slippers and sunglasses.

Thankfully he was indugling in some of his less harmful habits, puffing away on a cigarette and holding a bottle of energy drink.

Exactly which company hired Carlos to advertise their product at the moment, but it is the latest step in his unlikely comeback after his drug-fuelled antics led to him being fired from his comedy vehicle.

He finally bit the bullet after he called the show's creator Chuck Lorre a 'stupid little man' and said he hated him.

Last year he was the subject of a chastening Comedy Central roast, and also made a grovelling speech at the Emmys in which he said he wished his old cast and crew 'all the best.'

His contrite appearance would have been all the sweeter for Lorre, as Sheen had made a mocking congratulatory declaration to Ashton Kutcher when it was announced he was his replacement.

He said: 'Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there.'

The Hot Shots actor is now getting ready to star in a new sitcom of his own.

Anger Management will see him play a former baseball player with fury issues who becomes an unconventional rage counsellor on FX.

However it is still a far cry from his early career, when he was a respected actor and heartthrob after starring in the lauded Platoon and Wall Street.
