Who knew? Shia LaBeouf reveals his tattoos of rap legends and freestyles for nearly five minutes on radio show

Not content with acting, Shia LaBeouf's added another performance skill set to his repertoire.

On Friday, he swung by the radio programme Sway In The Morning and participated in his 5 Fingers Of Death segment, freestyle rapping nearly for as many minutes.

During a brief interview before he performed, the 30-year-old also divulged he's got tattooed images of 'my favorite MCs' on various parts of his body.

Renaissance man: On Friday, Shia LaBeouf performed nearly five minutes of freestyle rap on the radio programme Sway In The Morning

As he told Sway Calloway, the three he'd singled out for his body art were rap legends Tupac Shakur, The Notorious BIG and Missy Elliot.

Before the freestyle section got going, the radio host did his best to get his guest into the spirit of things.

'This ain't the Academy, dog! This ain't where you at right now. This ain't the big screen, dog!' were among his exhortations.

Once the Holes actor got going, his lyrics revolved a good deal around his own life and career, as well as public perception of him.

Guest and host: The Holes actor chatted with rapper Sway Calloway about his love of hip hop

He denounced 'trash you heard that's all alleged, b****. Plagiarists, they makin' s***. Greatest gifts come from painful s***.'

LaBeouf touched on his outspokenness as well. 'Whenever the truth's required, I'm hired. I'm the go-to guy for fired. When the truth's not needed, I beat it.'

As he crowed of his own freestyle, whilst it was in progress: 'This s***'s goin' viral. Yup, I'm takin' over! Better than I been, alert, alert, sober.'

True fandom: The 30-year-old has got tattooed images of Tupac Shakur, The Notorious BIG and Missy Elliott on various bits of his body

He continued touting his own ability, saying: 'What I am is I'm criminal with syllables and pronouns. Watch how it goes down. Yeah, my whole sound is profound. Freestyle with Sway; you would think I was a pro now!'

The Transformers star went on to bewail the current state of 'trash rap' that leads audiences to wonder: 'Who wrote what for who?' In the old days, per LaBeouf, there 'used to be a litmus. If you didn't write your own s***, you got dismissed.'

Only last month, the actor threw a wedding with his Nymphomaniac co-star Mia Goth in a Las Vegas ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator.

Approbation: Calloway seemed to be rather enjoying watchign LaBeouf at work

Though Clark County's official Twitter has confirmed that 'Our records show no marriage license for Shia LaBeouf & Mia Goth,' he still called himself 'married' in his Friday morning rap.

'Keep your distance,' he said, assuring women he was taken. 'Treat these ladies fair, like I'm Henry Higgins.'

He closed out: 'My life is like a highlight reel. Don't like me? Check Twitter. How the zeitgeist feel? Sway and Shade 45 is what I just killed.' He and his host threw their arms about each other once he was done.

Comradeship: The two men hugged after the actor finished up
