A peaceful day in a Washington park turned ugly as a savage brawl broke out.

The incident was caught on surveillance footage obtained by The Olympian, which reported that police arrived on the scene around 9.20am on November 4. 

In the video, five friends can be seen sitting at a picnic table in the Artesian Commons Park in Olympia, when a man walks over to them and starts talking to a woman. 

The fight began after one man sucker-punched another man who was sitting at the table in a purple hoodie, prompting three other people to jump in.

A woman and two men punched and kicked the man who threw the first punch. 

After other people in the park broke the fight up, the man walked over again and sucker-punched a man, who was dressed in black, in the face.

The group of friends beat the man to the ground a second time before three of them walked toward the park's entrance.

Surprisingly, the woman grabbed a bottle and hit the man on his back a few times before another man threw the rock at him.  

When a responding officer arrived, he saw a group of people kicking a man on the ground. 

But when the officer tried to detain the suspects, the man stood up and kicked the female suspect in the head, the Olympian reported. 

Lt. Paul Lower said that police brought the case to the Thurston County Prosecutor’s Office with potential felony charges. 

But now the suspects will likely face misdemeanor charges in Olympia Municipal Court based on the video evidence. 

None of the injuries required hospitalization, police said, and it's still unclear what exactly sparked the fight.
