Frill-seeker! Slimmed-down Tina Malone shows off her TINY size six figure in black flamenco-style dress as she steps out at RTS Awards

She has gone from a size 26 to a size six after losing a whopping 11st 4lb (72 kg).

And Tina Malone was showing off her tiny figure to the maximum in a slim fitting black gown at the RTS Awards North West in Manchester on Saturday night. 

The former CBB star cut a dramatic figure in the flamenco-style ensemble which featured a multitude of ruffles and a strapless finish at the Hilton Hotel.

With her blonde hair worn in a slick back style, Tina's striking look was accentuated by a slick of red lipstick, cat's eye make-up and black and silver studded heels.  

The Shameless star wrapped up against the elements in a grey and black furry jacket with a matching bag with a dainty cross necklace and drop earrings completing the effect. 

The actress said that she'd borrowed the dress from a friend after everything in her wardrobe had proved too large.

'I was devastated because last night I was let down over the dress I was going to wear and I was pulling everything out of my wardrobe,' she told the Manchester Evening News. 'But everything was huge.

'Then my friend rang me at 11.30pm and said "I have this dress and it's a size six" and I said "give it here".

'I got it 1.30am. When I heard it was a size six, I thought "bingo".' 

Tina arrived with husband Paul Chase, who at 34, is 19 years her junior to support her nomination for documentary My New Body which was nominated in the Best Factual Entertainment Programme category.

Tina recently controversy, when she advised This Morning viewers to have surgery in order to look like her.

Talking about how losing weight had changed her life, she said: 'My advice is, if you can pay for acrylics and cigarettes, save up for a gastric band.

'Save your life. It has changed me as a person. I am less angry.'

During the interview, Tina talked about how she has been attacked online following her most recent weight loss. 

She said: 'I've had more abuse with the last one and a half stone weight loss than I id with my pregnancy, my nine ops or my gastric band.

'It affects my daughter Danielle and my husband Paul. I laugh about it, that's not bravado, that's the truth.

'I feel sorry for the Twitter trolls. They are sat in their room on their own. I say to them, "Maybe you need help, maybe you are unloved or lonely".

'They say I am anorexic and spiralling out of control. But I would never body-shame anyone.'

Tina said she has learned a lot on her journey and said she understands why people might suffer from being overweight.

She said: 'I've had those issues. I am a loud, gobby Scouser. I'm also intelligent, compassionate and I can empathise with those issues.'

Tina said she had 'fat growing out of every part of her body' and now weighs 7st 6lbs and is about to start exercising.

She said: 'I'm 5'1'' and I'm starting exercise to tone up. It's given me the fear of God, thinking of spinning classes and personal trainers. It's been a hard slog.

'I still eat chocolate. I have about four squares a day.'

Tina kickstarted her bid to slim down after having a gastric band fitted in 2010.

She has since spent a reported £50,000 on cosmetic procedures, amongst them a facelift, tummy tuck and boob job - and she admits she's thrilled with the results.  

Her new found body confidence has now prompted Tina to consider renewing her wedding vows with husband Paul Chase, who at 34 is 19-years her junior. 

'We're planning on renewing our vows next year and I've already been looking at dresses,' she said. 'I've always had the dream of being the perfect bride, so I thought: "Why not do it again?" I'm 54 next year and I'm the youngest I've ever felt.'

The former CBB star lost 11st 4lb (72 kg) in 16 months when she had a gastric band fitted five years ago, reaching a size 8 and slimming down to 8st 2lb (51kg).

However, she admitted she wanted to lose another 10lbs in a recent appearance on Loose Women and appeared to have achieved her goal.  

Left with a huge amount of excess of skin, she decided to have an extensive makeover at the hands of a cosmetic surgeon totally £50,000, and documented it on TLC show Tina Malone: My New Body.
