'I hope you enjoy the read!': Bryan Cranston surprises fan by leaving free signed copy of his book at the airport

He released his long-awaited memoir, A Life in Parts, last month. 

And Bryan Cranston, 60, ensured one of his loyal fans would be treated to a copy as he bought and signed the tome before putting it back on display in a Hudson News store.

Taking to Twitter after finding the copy, fan Kenna wrote: 'Found this on a shelf at love field airport...so amazing! Can't wait to read it! Is this real???'

Sharing a snap of her find, it showed the Breaking Bad star's book had been inscribed with a sweet message that told the recipient to take the copy and 'enjoy the read'. 

The penned note read: 'Hi. Hey, thanks for taking a gander at my book. Take this book for yourself FREE! Really. I just bought it - see the receipt. I hope you enjoy the read. Have a nice day. ' 

Overjoyed by the find, the fan then tweeted Bryan directly gushing: 'I've been a fan of Breaking Bad since it aired but now I have a new respect for the man behind Walter White! Thank you!!

She added: 'The book is amazing! So interestingly written, so glad I found it!'

Whilst Bryan did not initially confirm that he was behind the good deed at the time, he later admitted to his handiwork in an interview with BBC 5 Live. 

The Oscar nominee confessed: 'I do it anytime I'm in a airport! I sneak in keep my head down and buy the book.'

He added: 'I keep the receipt so they can prove it, and they're not just stealing it... that would be a terrible joke to play on someone!'

Speaking about the inspiration behind releasing his memoir, he explained: 'I am aware from an objective point that the wave, the tsunami wave that Breaking Bad created also created tremendous opportunity for me, and there is a peak and valley to careers and that includes fame. 

'If you are lucky to ride this wave of fame to a plateau - it won't last there. 

'I guess it is just a blue-collar work ethic that I was raised with.'

One to watch: Speaking about the inspiration behind releasing his memoir, he explained that he wanted to capitalise on the success of his series, Breaking Bad
