NSW mother Amy Dawes speaks out about her forceps delivery

A mother who suffered permanent injuries from child birth is speaking out against a push in natural deliveries to reduce the rate of caesareans. Former personal trainer Amy Dawes suffered a stage two bladder and bowel prolapse after her daughter Eliya was delivered via the forceps method in December 2013. The injury meant she couldn't lift her daughter or run after her. 'You never think at 35 years of age that your body could be broken beyond repair,' she said. 'Having to think how I get out of bed in the morning, having to manage how I move. 'I can't say I feel 80 years of age but I feel older than my years.' The Brisbane woman's pelvic floor muscle was completely torn from her pubic bone when she gave birth in a New South Wales public hospital, aged 32. Her physiotherapist has advised her to avoid lifting heavy objects. 'I do think I'm altered as a person because of how different my life is,' Ms Dawes said. 'This is such a sensitive subject - It's very hard to get women to talk about it.'

Johnny Mullins, 21, from Jenkins, Kentucky, filmed himself at the scene of one fire last week and uploaded it to Facebook in one of his self-styled and produced 'weather outlook' videos. The 21-year-old was later arrested and told officers he started the fire because he liked the attention it brought him, according to Jenkins Police Department. The winners of the 2016 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have finally been announced, and the top-ranking image of a fox face-planting in the snow is sure to make you laugh. There were more than 2,200 entries from around the world, but now, the judges have weeded out the best to reveal the funniest moments in nature caught on camera.
