I'm Fur-Real! Make-up free Jennifer Lopez wraps up in a cosy winter coat as she prepares to shoot scenes for Shades Of Blue

With her skimpy onstage outfits and glam red carpet looks, Jennifer Lopez's presence always turns heads.

But the 47-year-old singer and actress proved on Friday that she can steal the limelight when she goes au naturel too.

Going apparently make-up free and wrapping up in a fur-hooded coat, the brunette beauty took centre-stage as she arrived on the set of her detective series Shades of Blue in New York.

Au naturel: Jennifer Lopez showed off her youthful looks as she arrived on the set of her detective series Shades of Blue in New York on Friday

The I'm Real singer went for a laid-back vibe as she rocked some stylish grey sweatpants teamed with a matching hoodie.

Wearing her favourite black puffer jacket with a furlined hood over her head, the former American Idol judge added some Guiseppe Zanotti buckled shoe wedges.

Complementing her wintry ensemble, Jennifer carried a leopard-print tote with a fierce studded trim.

Showcasing her naturally glowing and youthful skin, the Jenny From The Block singer defied her 44 years.

Wrap up warm in a down-filled parka like Jennifer's

If you think it's cold now, wait until December when winter is really here. To prepare for the coming onslaught of rain, wind and - maybe even - snow, follow Jennifer Lopez's lead and invest in a coat that will properly protect you from the elements.

There's a lot to love about a furry parka. For starters, these voluminous coats feel like a veritable cuddle. These bundles of down are also inherently functional, designed to keep you toasty when the inevitable cold snap hits.

While she may still be Jenny from the block, J-Lo has dropped some serious dosh on her fur-trimmed parka by Nicole Bensiniti. Sadly it is now sold out, but there are other offerings by the brand available at Revolve (right).

If you want to get one just like J-Lo's (and that is considerably less pricey) check out options below!

And after a busy week of filming the second series of Shades Of Blue, Jennifer was more than ready for the weekend - sharing a snap of her curly hair and plunging T-shirt.

She captioned the sultry snap: 'Friday night feeling... #itsbeenalongweek #letsgetit'.

Jennifer, who plays New York detective Harlee Santos on Shades Of Blue, stars alongside Ray Liotta as her superior and father figure Lieutenant Matt Wozniak.

Over the course of the first series, Santos becomes increasingly entangled in morally dubious dealings in order to protect her daughter Cristina.

In an interview Lopez and Liotta gave to Deadline in June, she called the programme 'my best work,' pointing out: 'This was how I started my career. This is who I am.'

Smoking hot: The mother-of-two showcased her enviably toned figure in a sizzling selfie

She explained: 'I always saw myself as an actress who danced and sang and had those talents as well, and I made my records later in my career. I didn’t make my first record until I was almost 30. So the acting was always the first thing. That was where people got to know me.'

She has been busy with new projects too.

The Bronx native also signed on as judge on the new NBC competition show World Of Dance. And she announced she will star in Griselda, which is being written by Terrance Winter (who wrote Wolf Of Wall Street and Boardwalk Empire).

In December she's back in Las Vegas for All I Have.

On the personal end of her life, the mother-of-two recently split from her choreographer boyfriend Smart, who is 18 years her junior.

They'd struck up their romance in 2011, back when he was a backup dancer on her tour.
