Schumer, on her Instagram page revealed that she was under the weather and staying at the house of her friend, Denise. She noted that her father Gordon was keeping an eye on her as she recovered from her ailment: 'Dad visiting me at while I'm sick at Denise's.'

Shoo-in: The comic, an ardent Hillary Clinton supporter, addressed her fan base via an Instagram post Friday
'I'm so sorry Baltimore. I'll see you soon! I am for reals sick. I would never miss the chance to go nuts down there,' she wrote.
Tickets for tomorrow's show will reportedly remain valid for the later date.
It's the fourth tour date the Trainwreck actress has postponed this week amid her involvement in the 2016 U.S. presidential election - she rescheduled three Canadian dates earlier in the week for February - as she was one of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's most ardent celebrity supporters throughout the race to the White House.
The Emmy-nominated Comedy Central star explained her absence north of the border Tuesday on social media, as she said she didn't want to disappoint her fan base with a performance not up to her usual standards. She said: 'Every night I go onstage I promise it’s going to be the best show I’ve ever done and I can’t make that promise because I feel awful and my voice is gone.'

Edge of glory: Schumer (left) was snapped with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and Lady Gaga at Wednesday's election party for Hillary Clinton. Also pictured was celeb bodyguard John 'Club Soda Kenny' Feder (far right)
Heartbroken: Schumer was deeply upset, like many Americans, in the wake of Clinton's loss
The clip was filmed as Amy went to vote for Clinton; she was in attendance at New York City's Javits Center Tuesday for an election night party that also included celeb guests such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Lena Dunham.
The show certainly came amid high anticipation, as it would have marked The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo author's return to the stage in the wake of the shocking election results, which saw Republican nominee Donald J. Trump defeat Clinton in a landmark upset.
Schumer last month was in the headlines after more than 200 attendees of a Tampa show she did headed for the exits when she ripped Trump as an 'orange, sexual-assaulting, fake college-starting monster.'
Outspoken: Schumer called Trump a 'racist homophobic openly disrespectful woman abuser' in an Instagram post after his shocking election victory
The outspoken entertainer addressed the incident at a subsequent show at New York City's famed Madison Square Garden.
She said onstage, 'Dearest Tampa - I’m sorry you didn’t want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now. How could I think it was O.K. to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?
'After the show, I want you to know that I will go straight to a rehab facility that will teach me how to make all people happy. Both the rich, entitled, white people who are gonna vote for him and the very poor people - who’ve been tricked into it!'
Schumer has also shot back at Trump supporters who were prodding her to move out of the country after she said in a BBC Newsnight interview in September she would 'move to Spain or somewhere' if Trump won.
Schumer clarified her stance on Wednesday, as she said in a lengthy Instagram post she made the remarks 'in jest.
She added: 'Anyone saying pack your bags is just as disgusting as anyone who voted for this racist homophobic openly disrespectful woman abuser.
'My heart is in a million pieces. My heart breaks for my niece and my friends who are pregnant bringing children into the world right now. Like everyone else I am horrified that people believed these bumper sticker slogans filled with hate he spewed,' she wrote.
Taking flak: Both Schumer (and comedy colleague Lena Dunham, left) have been bombarded with messages from giddy Trump supporters urging them to make good on their pre-election vows to leave the U.S. if he won the election
