'Sending positive thoughts': Cancer survivor Sharon Osbourne leads stars offering support to Michael Bublé after revelation of son's illness

Sharon Osbourne has led stars lending their thoughts and support to Michael Bublé after revealing his son's cancer diagnosis.

The 64-year-old star - who is a cancer survivor - took to her Twitter on Friday to let the 41-year-old singer and his family know that she has them in mind.

The wife of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne wrote: 'Sending positive thoughts and prayers to @MichaelBuble and Luisana and for their son Noah.'

It came just hours after the couple took to the model's Facebook page to make a statement that their three-year-old son had been diagnosed with the illness.

Sharon famously battled colon cancer in 2002 and famously had it documented on their family reality show The Osbournes. 

Other stars made sure the Haven't Met You Yet hitmaker knew they were thinking about him including KISS member Paul Stanley.

The 64-year-old frontman also took to the microblogging site to write: 'Send prayers to @michaelbuble and family for his 3 year old son Noah as he battles cancer. Every parent's nightmare.'

Fellow singer Josh Groban wrote: 'My family & I send all our love &prayers to @michaelbuble's 3 year old son Noah as he fights cancer. Stay strong little guy.

Young actress Joey King posted: 'Praying for @michaelbuble's son Noah. Cancer is a monster. You can do this Noah.' 

And the singer received support from British celebrities too, like former boyband members Brian McFadden and Max George and lingerie firm Ultimo founder Michelle Mone.

Earlier in the day Bublé and his 29-year-old wife announced: 'We are devastated by the recent diagnosis of cancer of our oldest son Noah, who is currently receiving treatment in the United States.

'We’ve always talked a lot about the importance of family and the love we have for our children.' 

'Luisana and I will devote all our time and attention to help Noah to get better, for now suspending our professional activities.

Argentinian website La Nacion reports that Noah was diagnosed when he visited doctors with a suspected case of mumps. 

The Canadian musician and the Argentinian actress and model welcomed their second son, Elias, into the world in January. The two married in 2011.
