A group of Stormtroopers then surround Galen Erso, who's played by Mads Mikkelsen, apparently to take him away.
Before they can, he takes his daughter Jyn aside and reassures her 'whatever I do, I do it to protect you,' to which the young girl responds 'I understand.'
A possibly very important scene then occurs when Jyn's mother gives her what looks to be a kyber crystal, adding 'trust the Force.'
Said crystals are used in light sabers and are rumoured to also have been used in the creation of the Death Star.
