It's Sgt Pepper's lost stars club band: Inspired by the iconic Beatles album cover, a touching tribute to the long list of celebrities who have died this year - so how many can YOU name?

INSPIRED by an iconic Beatles album cover, it is a touching tribute to the long list of celebrities who have died this year.

More than 40 leading musicians, actors, sportsmen and other personalities appear in this new version of the famous sleeve of the Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band record, released in 1967.

And the Photoshopped image has even more poignancy with the inclusion of figures such as American actor Robert Vaughn and Canadian singer and songwriter Leonard Cohen who died just last week.

The picture was created by Twitter user ‘Christhebarker’ and quickly went viral.

Some observers noticed that Motorhead frontman Lemmy had been wrongly included, since he died in December 2015.

But one quipped: ‘His liver didn’t acknowledge the fact until the following week.’
