The gentleman, named only as 'Chen', then had to undergo surgery to remove the painful object from his manhood. Doctors said he could have died if he pushed the chopstick any further into his genitals.

Paris' Bataclan concert hall turned away two members of Eagles of Death Metal who were playing during the ISIS attack at the venue last year. They tried to enter the venue for Sting's gig as the hall reopened to mark the anniversary of the massacre which killed 90 innocent music fans. But director Jules Frutos refused to let them in after frontman Jesse Hughes earlier this year suggested that Muslim staff were involved in the gun and suicide bomb attack on November 13, 2015.

After making his way into the Donald's Central Park skyscraper, Moore attempted to get to Trump's office (right). However, he was stopped from going to Trump's office, and then let the building to join protesters outside (left). Moore also tweeted about the incident, demanding Trump step aside (inset).
The incredible moment a brave mother shields her two-year-old son while two dogs attack them as they try to get into their home
The attack occurred in Anaheim, California, on Tuesday. It started when the boy was set upon by the two dogs in the front yard of his home, before his mom came to his rescue. As the woman tried to get her son inside, she couldn't find her keys, and the dogs continue to maul the two. Surveillance footage shows the woman shielding her son with her body while trying to fight off the animals (main). Finally a neighbor who heard her screams came and grabbed the dogs. The little boy suffered extensive injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he underwent plastic surgery for a laceration to his face (inset).

The photographs, the majority of which were taken by Chief Official White House photographer Pete Souza, show the president in lighthearted as well as serious moments. Obama can be seen having fun with children, meeting with former US presidents and even sitting in the situation room for the May 2011 mission against Osama Bin Laden. Souza's 'Year in Photos' albums on the White House Flickr account covering Obama go back to 2009. It's believed the photographer has snapped approximately 2million photographs of the president.

After his inauguration as the 45th President in January Donald Trump will have to give up his own plane, with its luxury fittings, and fly around the country and beyond on Air Force One. Trump's own plane (pictured, top right) has wood panelling and 'yards and yards of elegant silk', silk pillows embroidered with his family crest (bottom right) and gold and marble bathrooms (bottom left). The Trump Organization's Vice President of Marketing, Amanda Miller (top left) conducted a video tour of the plane after it was refitted at a cost of $100m. But the Commander-in-Chief will have to use Air Force One because it is specially kitted out with equipment which allow the Commander-in-Chief to use it as a mobile command center in the event of conflict or natural disaster.

The first official refugee camp in the history of Paris today opened its doors for the first time. The facility, which cost £6million to build, has 400 places and even boasts a football pitch. The mother, known as Amani which translates to Peace, chased off the leopard in Masai Mara, Kenya, which borders the Serengeti and the whole thing was captured by Paul Goldstein. The Wimbledon-based photographer was guiding when he spotted the fracas which came after the large female leopard had been surveying the family of cheetahs from a tree. The loving mother faced the threat head-on, and dramatically tried to wear the large female leopard out before it could attack and chased it away.

Footage shows the passenger attempting to leap on to the pier (left and top right) in Bangkok, Thailand as the vessel was approaching the shore. But the commuter, named locally as Theerapong Silalit, lost his footing before toppling backwards in to the Saen Saep canal as the ferry was still preparing to moor up. A frantic search was launched around Nanachat pier in the city's Watthana district this morning when the 50-year-old did not resurface.

Shahana Begum, 42, from Shahjahanpur, has taken the law into her own hands in India by hunting down rapists and making them face justice in a bid to fight the country's huge issue with sex crimes. The mother-of-four from Uttar Pradesh is famous among teenagers and women in her area as the 'Bandookwali Chachi' which translates as 'aunt with a gun'. In 2013, she caught three who raped a girl for two days and handed them over to police where she demanded the rapists took responsibility for their actions. The main perpetrator is now married to the girl and Ms Begum said the couple were now happily married.
