Is this Pippa's wedding dress? Celebrity designer Giles Deacon visits Kate's sister and Carole Middleton at home... carrying some very special packages

  • Fashion designer Giles Deacon, 47, visited Pippa Middleton at her home
  • The Duchess of Cambridge's sister, 33, is  getting married next year
  • Deacon was photographed carrying a large dress bag into her house

Fashion designer Giles Deacon spent two hours inside Pippa Middleton's home showing her dresses - after the socialite announced she is getting married next year.

Deacon, 47, who designed Abbey Clancey's wedding dress when she married footballer Peter Crouch in 2011, was snapped visiting the Duchess of Cambridge's sister's home in London.

He was holding a large black dress bag when he left the property and Pippa, 33, and her mother Carole, 61, shortly followed.

Giles Deacon was photographed leaving Pippa Middleton's home in London earlier this week. She was pictured leaving home some 20 minutes after the designer

Keep it chic like Pippa in a green jacket by Reiss

We can't wait to see what Pippa Middleton will wear when she walks down the aisle next year. Choosing THE dress is a huge decision for any bride-to-be, let alone when your big sister's gown instantly became one of the most iconic wedding dresses ever worn!

Giles Deacon paid a visit to Pippa's house, so perhaps the designer is a contender. But at least there's no mystery when it comes to this chic green jacket!

Like the Duchess of Cambridge, Pippa loves investing in wardrobe staples and repeating them. We spotted her wearing this classic jacket by Reiss way back in 2011, and we love the military-inspired details. A short jacket is more versatile than a coat, and the belt nips her in at the waist, creating a flattering silhouette.

Unfortunately this jacket has of course now sold out, but click (right) to buy a similar short trench at Reiss. Or since green is the color to be seen in this season, there are plenty of similar options to help you steal Pippa's style. Check them out in our edit below.

Deacon was with his assistant - who also had a dress bag - when he visited the home in London

The photographs come after fans speculated about the dress she would wear when she revealed that she is to marry hedge fund manager James Matthews, 40, next year.

Mr Matthews went down on one knee with a £200,000 4 carat asscher-cut ring during a weekend in Lake District in August.

And Deacon - who is best known for his critically-acclaimed playful designs - spent around two hours inside Pippa's home.

Mother of the bride Carole Middleton was also present for the meeting with Deacon

Although it is not clear what was inside the dress bag, the meeting comes after several top bridal designers shared their versions of what they believe she should wear on her big day.

Fashion experts have suggested that Deacon - who worked for Gucci before setting up his own label GILES in 2003 - should be the one who designs the dress.

The experienced designer, who grew up in Ullswater in the Lake District, has made clothes for a host of A-list celebrities including Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson, 31.

He also considers Westworld actress Thandie Newton, 44, and Princess Beatrice, 28, as his clients.

And his visit to Miss Middleton's home is likely to spark more speculation that he is making the dress for her, or that he was showing the bride-to-be a number of different designs.

His assistant was also photographed holding a large dress bag when she left the property with him.

Deacon has long been rumoured to be in a relationship with Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie.

James Matthews proposed to Pippa (pictured together at Wimbledon) in the Lake District

Pippa and James have reportedly set a date for the big day, and will reveal all to family and friends around Christmas time.

She is reportedly having some luxurious 'Save The Date' invitations made, which will be sent to loved ones inside their festive cards.

And she is said to be determined that her gown overshadows the Alexander McQueen dress that she wore to sister Kate's wedding.

Sources have also suggested that Pippa has been touring high society bridal boutiques, including Suzanne Neville's Knightsbridge shop – where dresses can cost £10,000.

Kate Middleton waves to the crowds as her sister and Maid of Honour Pippa holds her dress on her wedding day

The couple became engaged after Pippa began properly dating the handsome hedge fund manager, who is the brother of Made In Chelsea's Spencer Matthews.

He asked Pippa's father for permission for his daughter's hand before popping the question, which apparently took the former party planner completely by surprise.

MailOnline has contacted Deacon for comment.
