Get Me Out Of Here already! Scarlett Moffatt can't contain her disgust as she's forced to canoe through swampy waters in I'm A Celebrity's first grisly challenge

Half of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'s line-up were spotted suspended over a 32-storey building earlier in the day.

But elsewhere on Australia's Gold Coast, Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt looked just as terrified as she was forced to compete in the 'cruel canoe' challenge ahead of the Sunday night's big premiere.

The 26-year-old TV personality couldn't contain her terror and disgust, as she was quite literally thrown into the deep end, and forced to canoe in a task against Gavin and Stacey star, Larry Lamb.

Not a good start! Gogglebox's Scarlett Moffatt, 26, looked terrified as she was forced to compete in the 'cruel canoe' challenge ahead of I'm A Celebrity... Get me Out Of Here!'s Sunday night premiere

After a glamorous meet-up up with their fellow contestants - which included Lisa Snowden, Wayne Bridge and Sam Quek - Scarlett and Larry were led away by show hosts Ant and Dec to an awaiting helicopter.

All the celebs were thrown in the deep end from the start as Ant and Dec told them they'd all be facing the first Bushtucker Trial of the series.

'However, there is good news, you each have a lifeline. You’re about to meet the remaining five celebrities who are going to compete to save you from that first Bushtucker Trial.' said Dec.

Swooped away: Scarlett and Gavin and Stacey star Larry Lamb were picked up in style in a helicopter before the task began

A large TV screen was revealed in front of half of the celebrities and they were each given a buzzer to press as they watched footage of each remaining celebrity.

Ant said 'You each need to pick one celebrity to complete on your behalf. Press your button, whoever does it quickest claims that celebrity. If no one presses their button, we return to that celebrity at the end'

'Whoever you pick will face a ‘Saviours Challenge’ to try and save you from that first Bushtucker Trial – so choose wisely', added Dec.

Not expecting it: The two co-stars as they were met with two canoeing boats

Pairs picked, Larry and Scarlett were taken off to face their Saviours Challenge.

Scarlett, who was still clad in a pretty white dress and had never canoed before, looked apprehensive as she awkwardly lowered herself into the boat.

'I'm really regretting my choice of outfit,' she said, adding: 'I've been on a pedalo but that's where my skills start and end'.

Careful! Scarlett, who was still clad in a pretty white dress and had never canoed before, looked apprehensive as she awkwardly lowered herself into the boat

Not having a good time: At one point Scarlett looked as though she was going to throw up

Making her way delicately through the swampy pond, the bubbly brunette couldn't help but grimace as the strenuous activity became too much to handle.

At one point, the overwhelming smell of nature seemed to get to Scarlett and she looked as though she was going to throw up.

Larry didn't seem to be having much luck himself as he struggled to stay upright, but not before reaching a flag with Emmerdale hunk Adam Thomas' face on it.

It looked as though he had beaten Scarlett to the finish line, who was given the strenuous task of making her way to the flag with Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo's face on it.

Staying strong for Scarlett: Larry kept his cool as he paddled along

Winner! The 69-year-old actor seemed to have reached the finish line before Scarlett

Obviously struggling with her first assignment, the newly-slimmed down star ultimately ended up in the water -  further adding to her revulsion, prompting Larry to do his best Baywatch impression and swim out to rescue her.

Scarlett flew to Australia last weekend to take part in I'm A Celeb, simultaneously announcing her departure from Channel 4 entertainment show Gogglebox, on which she has appeared with her mother and father for the last two years.

Off the sofa and into the Australian outback, Scarlett is due to show a very different side to her personality in the ITV programme, which is evident from the grizzly pictures from her first task.

Smart: She used Larry as a flotation device to make things easier for herself

What is that? The pair looked confused ahead of their first task

Gone with the wind: Scarlett's glam brunette tresses were messed up by the awaiting helicopter

The oblivious campmates, which also included Adam Thomas, Joel Mcdermott, Jordan Banjo, had to decide who would be living in luxury and who would be left to their own devices in the jungle, as they competed in the series' first terrifying task.

Meanwhile earlier in the day, the likes of Ola Jordan and Carol Vorderman were forced to walk along a narrow plank suspended on top of the Focus Tower in Surfers’ Paradise on Australia’s Gold Coast.

The remaining celebs - Olympic gold medal winner Sam Quek, ex-footballer Wayne Bridge and TV presenter Lisa Snowden - had to sky dive into the jungle camp.

Wayne looked terrified at the task in hand. 'I'm all over the place to be honest. My stomach is just turning. I don't know what will be going through my head but I'll go into a happy place hopefully,' he told the camera.

Lisa was first to jump. Screaming, she launched from the helicopter. 'That was terrific' she said as she landed. 'It was a brilliant way to start this whole experience'.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! will premiere on ITV at 9pm.

First appearances: All the camp-mates looked glamorous upon arrival, but that will not last long

They're back! And and Dec will also be returning as show hosts
