Setting the bar high! Sharon Osbourne's first act Saara Aalto kicked off The X Factor's 'disco week' with a funky rendition of Donna Summer & Barbra Streisand's No More Tears
Fresh off an epic sing-off during the bottom two last week, Saara, along with her back-up dancers, worked the crowd and the judges who were all up on their feet at the end of the performance.
'What a start to the show!' Louis enthused, before Nicole continued the praise, stating: 'Love watching you sing an empowering female anthem like that!'
Simon also mentioned: 'It was close to perfection', before the first of girls Sam Lavery was up with her take on Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive.

Powerhouse: Fresh off an epic sing-off during the bottom two last week, Saara, along with her back-up dancers, worked the crowd and the judges who were all up on their feet at the end of the performance
Looking cool: Saara looked every inch the fashion risk-taker as she also sported stick-on jewels on her partly shaved head
Trying her best: Sam divided the panel with a slower version of the classic Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive
Fresh off her first ever appearance in the bottom three last week, Sam divided the panel once again with a much more calm, collected and moodier version of the classic.
'It wasn't the right tempo,' Nicole lamented, before Louis echoed her critique stating: 'I kept wanting it to turn into the disco anthem that it was!'
Simon of course backed his judge by mentioning he didn't want it to turn too 'karaoke' before concluding: 'You controlled the song. It was a performance. I think it's going to work!'

Fashionista: Sam flashed her abs in a cool black crop top and gold encrusted skinny trousers
His turn: One half of the show's lovebirds Ryan Lawrie, who has slowly been gaining fan momentum in the series, was next up

New favourites: Louis final group 5 after Midnight were perfectly in-sync as they performed Boogie Wonderland
All eyes on them! The dynamic performance went down well
One half of the show's lovebirds Ryan Lawrie, who has slowly been gaining fan momentum in the series, was next up.
The 20-year-old looked funky against his retro spiralling background as he belted out Wild Cherry's Play That Funky Music, which had his judge Nicole up on her feet once again.
'It's like you're a new person!' Louis mentioned, before Simon wholeheartedly disagreed as he revealed he was distracted by the extravagant set.
Stand out: The energetic performance, which featured an impressive dance break in-between, had the judges grooving along, resulting in another standing ovation
Impressive: Nicole's next act Matt Terry performed You've Got The Best Of My Life, which was praised by all four judges, also making him a hot favourite to win the series
Wanting to win! He gave the performance his all
Loving it : Nicole was up on her feet for her act's performance
Not letting Simon get the last word in, Nicole stuck up for her act: 'I take responsibility for Ryan you see where he started out. He has grown so much. I know how hard you work.
'You got it funky! Your confidence has grown!' she continued.

Silver lining: Next it was Emily Middlemas and she looked sensational in a tiny silver dress
Doing her take: She performed a haunting rendition of Rose Royce's Wishing On A Star on a big glitter disco ball
Not impressed: The judges didn't enjoy the performance with Louis stating it was like a major 'anti-climax' and 'wasn't good enough'
'Don't make me bust out the Cher hair!' Nicole gushed over the cheering audience.
'That's how you do disco in 2016. Phenomenal!' Sharon offered her expert opinion, while Simon confessed: 'You have just popped!'
Nicole's next act Matt Terry performed You've Got The Best Of My Life, which was praised by all four judges, also making him a hot favourite to win the series.
Next it was Emily Middlemas' turn and she looked sensational in a tiny silver dress as she performed a haunting rendition of Rose Royce's Wishing On A Star on a big glitter disco ball.
However, other than her mentor Simon, the judges didn't enjoy her performance with Louis stating it was like a major 'anti-climax' and 'wasn't good enough'.
Sharon also harshly referred to the performance as 'a bit of a Debbie Downer', while Nicole felt as if the production 'swallowed her up'.
She's here! Closing the show was the most controversial contestant of the line-up Honey G
Further disagreement erupted when Emily told the show's host Dermot O'Leary she wanted to move around on the stage more, prompting Louis to yell at Simon: 'You should listen to your artist!'
Closing the show was the most controversial contestant of the line-up Honey G, who teased what was to come in her video package.
'I didn't hear any boos. I was too busy falling flat on my face', the rapper, 35, cheekily revealed while referencing her knee-slide on Sunday night's results show when she made it through.
The short video also saw her taking inspiration from her meet-up with Robbie Williams and she revealed: 'I know what I need to do to become the world's biggest rapper. I'm a real rap star'.
'Only boos I'm gonna be hearing are BOO-YA!', she stated.
And the disco fever was certainly rife as she took the stage to rap along to Bee Gees' Staying Alive, alongside a bevy of equally dynamic back-up dancers.

Trendy: She wore her signature bomber jacket, cap and shades for the performance
Well done: All four judges rose to their feet to credit her for her efforts
In between the catchy classic tune, the entertaining performer made sure to interact with the audience, as she sang out: 'Let me hear you say Honey G!'
As well as the audience, music mogul Cowell was spotted singing along to the words, before all four judges rose to their feet to credit her for her efforts.
'You could make the final!' Louis declared.
'I'm scared of you! You're getting better each week. You're my new guilt pleasure. I wanna watch you. I wanna eat banoffee pie. I wanna put honey all over it!' enthused Nicole.
Simon, who is now clearly a fan of 50 Cent backed artist, offered his critique: 'You are genius. You give it a 100% perfect. I've never heard you complain or whinge. You are the most unique contestant I've ever had on this show!'
The X Factor will return on ITV on Sunday night at 8pm where one person will be given the boot.
