Manchester United starlets Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard have delved into the latest craze sweeping the internet, the 'mannequin challenge.'

But, not to be outdone, the Red Devils duo put their own unique spin on the challenge by carrying it out midway through a haircut, before bursting into impromptu dance.

Filmed in what appears to be an apartment or hotel room, the United pair can be seen surrounded by friends and former team-mates, including Reading defender Tyler Blackett.

The 'mannequin challenge' phenomenon kick-started in American high schools but has now caught on like wild fire thanks to social media, with high profile stars from the sporting world keen to get in on the act.  

The camera pans around the motionless figures of Lingard and Rashford, the latter sitting in a chair mid-way through a detailed haircut.

Celtic youngster Saidy Janko can also be seen sitting on a sofa as the large party remain perfectly still, resembling that of mannequins.

But then the music kicks in and the men soon lose their rigid postures, instead opting to burst straight into dance moves.

The youngster will be hoping he can retain the rhythm when Manchester United face Arsenal

Lingard is well known for his dance moves out on the football pitch, often celebrating goals with his signature 'dabbing' move along with France superstar Paul Pogba.

Rashford, perhaps lesser known for his shape throwing ability, soon gets into the swing of thing and moves to the beat while bizarrely still sitting in the barber's chair.

The young Red Devils will be hoping they can retain their rhythm when they return to Premier League action next weekend.

Manchester United have a crunch home encounter with Arsenal on the horizon, in which a win will bring Jose Mourinho's men within three points of the Gunners.
