Elinor Barker wins women's points gold at Track World Cup as Olympic champion continues stellar 2016

Olympic champion Elinor Barker took gold for Great Britain in the women's points race at the Track World Cup in Apeldoorn. The 22-year-old, who was part of Team GB's team pursuit in Rio, won the event in Holland as she stormed into a lead and kept herself ahead of the challengers by taking consistent points during the sprints. She beat Minami Uwano of Japan by six points to secure gold and continue a fine run of form.
