'She's seems okay': Billy Bob Thornton smokes a cigarette after talking about ex-wife Angelina Jolie following Brad Pitt split

Billy Bob Thornton was snapped in Los Angeles Sunday amid his recent reveal that ex-wife Angelina Jolie 'seems ... OK' amid her split with Brad Pitt.

The 61-year-old Arkansas native, who's on the promotional trail for his upcoming holiday comedy Bad Santa 2, was seen at LAX airport wearing a black jacket over a plaid button-up shirt, blue jeans, cowboy boots and sunglasses. 

He carried a large brown leather bag, settling onto a bench for a cigarette.

The Academy Award-winning Sling Blade star was married to Jolie, his co-star in 1999's Pushing Tin, from 2000 until finalizing their divorce in 2003.

Billy Bob, speaking with Entertainment Tonight Friday, said that he's 'still very good friends' with the Girl, Interrupted actress, albeit on a sporadic basis.

'She's seems, you know, OK to me when I talk to' her, Thornton said, adding, 'she's got her world, I've got mine ... I don't talk to her that often though. You know?'

The Whiskey Tango Foxtrot actor, who's currently in his sixth marriage to wife Connie Angland, 52, said that he crosses paths with Jolie 'once in a blue moon' these days.

'Every now and then we talk, you know? Whatever. But when people are going through their trials and tribulations I try to leave them alone unless they want to talk to me,' the Monster's Ball actor said. 'In other words, I figure it's none of my business.

'Unless someone makes it my business, it's none of my business.'

A-list romances: Jolie remains one of Hollywood's most intriguing stars, as her romances with both Billy Bob and Brad Pitt have been a staple of the entertainment media since 2000

Asked if he was receptive to calls from the Maleficent star, Thornton said, 'Of course.'

The London Fields star, speaking with GQ this week, said that he 'never felt good enough for' the Tomb Raider actress, noting that he's more of an introvert while she was far more outgoing: 'I'm real uncomfortable around rich and important people,' he added.

Bad Santa 2, also starring Tony Cox, Kathy Bates, and Christina Hendricks, hits theaters November 23. 

Past love: Jolie and Thornton were wed from 2000 until their divorce was finalized in 2003
