A court has found Justin Ross Harris guilty of leaving his son Cooper to die in a hot car back in 2014. Harris, 35 (pictured left in court Monday), of Marietta, Georgia, was found guilty on all eight counts of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, first-degree cruelty to children, and second-degree cruelty to children. After 21 hours of deliberation over four days, the jury said that they found Harris guilty on all counts in their first vote. Cooper (pictured right with Harris and his mother Leanna) baked to death in his car seat on June 18, 2014 after Harris left the 22-month-old in a hot car for seven hours. On the day of Cooper's death Harris breakfasted with his son at a Chick-fil-A before driving to his Home Depot job - where, he claimed to interrogators he simply forgot about the child. Cooper died after temperatures inside the car approached 120 degrees. The case gripped Georgia and drew national attention after investigators cast doubt on Harris' claim that his son's death was a tragic accident of lapsed memory - something his defense team stuck to throughout testimony. But prosecutors said he wanted his son out of his life as he conducted extramarital affairs with a series of women, some of them underage. Leanna Taylor, Harris' ex-wife (pictured right with Harris and Cooper), said on her Facebook profile Monday evening that nothing would ever erase the pain of losing her son.

Ifill was best known as the NewsHour co-anchor with Judy Woodruff and the managing editor of PBS talk show Washington Week. She moderated two vice-presidential debates, between John Edwards and Dick Cheney in 2004; and between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden in 2008. Earlier this month PBS announced she would be taking unspecified time off for health reasons. Ifill, 61, was also out for two months last spring. She has not revealed the nature of her illness.

Corey Sligh has been arrested and booked for child molestation (in his mugshot, left). The former The Young And The Restless star, 28, has been accused of molesting a girl who was under the age of 10. The arrest took place on October 14 in his home state of Georgia, but was only reported by TMZ on Monday. He was released the same day on a $22,000 bond. Sligh played a bartender on the popular soap (pictured, right).

A woman launched a lawsuit against fashion giant Zara after finding a dead rodent sewn into the hem of her dress (pictured left). New Yorker Cailey Fiesel (inset left) bought two dresses from the Spanish clothier's Greenwich, Connecticut (inset right) store in July, and noticed a pungent smell the first time she wore one to work, the New York Daily News reported. Fiesel initially thought there was a loose string along the hem of her dress, before she realized it was a rat's leg (left and right) poking out along the seams, court papers claim.

It's been less than a week since Donald Trump was elected, and already his team is at one-another's throats over his appointments to his cabinet, insiders say. Power struggles between newly announced chief of staff Reince Priebus (pictured left), incoming alt-left chief strategist Stephen Bannon (right) and Trump's stepson, Jared Kushner, have lead to 'buffoonery,' a source told CNN. The transition is bad news for an already allegedly beleaguered Trump, who reportedly appeared 'surprised' by the scope of his new role in his meeting with President Obama (pictured inset) last week, and whose own transition team is behind schedule.

President Barack Obama delivered a veiled rebuke to Hillary Clinton today for spending the summer and much of the fall on her laurels as Donald Trump barnstormed the nation. The two-time winner said he was victorious in Iowa, a mostly white state, 'not because of the demographics' but because he spent 87 days going to 'every small town', fair, fish fry and VFW. Some countries he may have lost be fewer votes because he dropped in. Others he won unexpectedly. 'And the challenge for a national party is how do you dig in there and create those kinds of structures,' he said.

After Donald Trump's stunning election victory, Twitter has erupted with funny memes imagining Vice President Joe Biden's last laugh at the White House. The memes hilariously imagine Biden coming up with ploys to prank president-elect Trump before he takes office in January. They also shed light on Biden and President Barack Obama's close relationship as his eight years in office come to an end.

A Boston charity event turned ugly Saturday when one of the show's acts, Wanda Sykes (left and center), responded to boos prompted by her criticism of Donald Trump with expletives and foul gestures. Sykes was met with jeers from the thousands in attendance at Boston's TD Garden arena when she unloaded on Trump, calling him a 'racist, sexist, and a homophobe.' She also said he was an 'orangutan.' The remarks elicited jeers from the audience, to which Sykes replied with a series of profanities and a middle finger (right).

'It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified First Lady in the White House. I'm tired of seeing a Ape in heels,' wrote Clay County Development Corporation director Pamela Ramsey Taylor shortly after Donald Trump was elected as president. Clay Mayor Beverly Whaling responded: 'Just made my day Pam.' The post was deleted but not before it was shared hundreds of times on social media. Taylor has also suspended her Facebook account.

A photo published online Monday (pictured) shows the expecting parents ready for a photo session on the picturesque Baker Beach in San Francisco, California. The mother-to-be wore an elegant red dress and the future father picked jeans and a shirt. The Golden Gate bridge, visible in the background, completed the picture perfectly. But the frame reveals a nude sunbather taking a swim just a few yards away from the couple, giving another atmosphere to the shoot altogether. The northern part of Baker Beach is a nude beach, so it's not entirely surprising that someone would have wandered into the water without a bathing suit.

WARNING: DISTURBING CONTENT A horrific video showing a group of teens savagely beating up a 15-year-old girl has recently emerged online, racking up millions of views in just a couple of days. The footage, thought to have been filmed by one of the perpetrators and posted to Facebook, showed four youths taking turns to slap their victim near a shopping centre in Vienna until she was spitting blood. There's speculation that the girl was beaten for removing a headscarf but the cause is yet to be confirmed by Austrian police, who are investigating the incident.

Moldovan model Xenia Deli, 26, married Ossama Fathi Rabah Al-Sharif, 63, on the popular Greek holiday island of Santorini in June. The Playboy model is best known for co-starring in Justin Bieber's hit video What Do You Mean? The couple spent a few days on the island following the wedding before continuing their honeymoon in Switzerland, Paris and Lisbon.

Former Oregon Ducks football player Cliff Harris, 25, was arrested on Saturday night at a party in Clovis, California for drug possession, theft and possession of paraphernalia. It is the latest in a long list of criminal drama for the former all-American cornerback who was tipped for a pro-football career back in 2010.

Clarence Moses-EL (pictured), 60, who spent nearly half his life in prison for a rape he did not commit was acquitted of the crime on Monday. Moses-EL was freed in December, after a judge overturned his 1988 conviction on rape and assault charges and found that he would likely be acquitted if his case went to trial again. Another prisoner claimed to be responsible for the attack, but prosecutors chose to try Moses-EL again. Jurors began deliberating the case last Thursday, and they issued their not guilty verdict Monday - leaving Moses-EL beaming and fighting back tears. The victim in the case, a neighbor, initially named three other men as possible attackers, including the inmate, L.C. Jackson, who confessed in 2013. Despite being free for nearly a year, Moses-EL said he is still struggling to break habits he formed in prison.

A video released last week shows athletes from Texas A&M; University in College Station holding completely still as if frozen in time at the gym, hanging from a bar by the toes (left) or posing on the beam. The video begins with an athlete frozen mid-motion as if she's about to hop on the vault, arms flexed. Things escalate to another level when the next frames reveal an athlete holding on to the rings (right) or striking a pose on the parallel bars. One of them (centers) looks as if she just fell in the tumbling pit and remains buried with only her legs visible.

The scary incident was captured in-full by a dash camera in one of the vehicles the car was attempting to overtake in North Carolina just after 3pm on Friday. The footage shows a black sedan overtake the car with dash camera and then another vehicle, before suddenly pulling back into the right lane. However, the black car cut in so close that a car traveling in the opposite direction slammed on the breaks, causing another vehicle to rear-end (center). A third car then swerves to miss the crash, and ends up on the grass by the road. A fourth car, however, wasn't so lucky, and also rear-ended the second car.

Just off the coast of southern Sweden, researchers have discovered what's thought to be the submerged remains of an ancient Stone Age lagoon community. The findings include a 9,000-year-old pick axe sculpted from elk antlers, and eight fish traps made of braided hazel rods. According to the researchers, the settlers that once lived there likely had 'good lives,' with plenty of food and a favourable climate. But, the lagoon environment sank as sea levels rose in the centuries that followed.

The bizarre rant occurred at the Brewhemia cafe in Cedar Rapids. The woman, Melyssa Jo Kelly (center), started filming herself as she took issue with three officers who had a black band over their badge. The band is worn by officers who have lost a colleague in the line of duty. However Kelly slammed the cops for caring about one of their own, and not a black man, Jerime Mitchell, 37, who was shot by police in a traffic stop in Cedar Springs a few days earlier. 'We got the popo wearing the black thing on her badge. Guess she's sorry a couple of cops got whacked in Des Moines,' Kelly says. 'But she doesn't give a s--- about the man who is in critical care at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with a bullet in his neck from one of the wonderful and vicious thug brothers in blue.'

A man accused of raping and murdering a 4-year-old girl has been publicly lynched. The alleged paedophile was arrested in Reyes, northern Bolivia after police found a missing girl's body earlier this week. Furious locals refused to wait for his trial and took justice into their own hands. A mob stormed the police station and dragged the man into the street where locals hanged him on a tree.

A painting by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch (right) fetched more than $54 million at Sotheby's auction of impressionist and modern art on Monday. Girls on the Bridge (left), a seminal work from 1902, depicts a cluster of girls huddled on a bridge in a country village. It sold in 1996 for $7.7 million and again in 2008 for $30.8 million, each time setting a record for the artist. In 2012, Munch's work 'The Scream,' one of the most iconic images in art history, sold for $119.9 million at Sotheby's.

The positive pair were asked a number of questions by special education teacher, Christopher Ulmer, in a heartwarming new video for his page, Special Books by Special Kids. Maddy took the lead in the conversation and at one stage revealed that she planned on being a 'mummy' and a teacher when she grew up so she could 'boss people around.' 'The video captures the sense of who they are. Lana is thoughtful and serious at times and quite academic, Maddy is very cheeky and Briella likes to be the centre of attention as well,' their mother, Nicole Luk, told Daily Mail Australia.
