What to buy the billionaire who has everything! How Donald Trump and ex Marla Maples' lavish 1993 Tiffany & Co wedding registry listed everything from a $530 crystal 'sail' sculpture to a $1,250 BOWL

  • The President-elect and his second wife wed in the Grand Ballroom of the Plaza Hotel on December 20, 1993
  • Marla, now 53, created her bridal registry two days after their wedding
  • Don King, Howard Stern, Mariah Carey, and Kathie Lee Gifford were among the guests who signed the couples' 1993 registry from Tiffany's
  • Two months before their wedding, Marla gave birth to their child, a daughter they coincidentally named Tiffany
  • The couple divorced in 1999 after six years together, making their relationship the shortest of Donald's three marriages

More than 20 years before he became President-elect, Donald Trump was celebrating his marriage to Marla Maples with a lavish ceremony that included more than $23,000 in wedding gifts from Tiffany & Co.

The now-70-year-old Republican married his second wife in the Grand Ballroom of the Plaza Hotel on December 20, 1993, and while the wealthy couple may have had everything they could ever want, their wedding guests spared no expense when picking out their gifts.

According to TMZ, everyone from Mariah Carey to Kathie Lee Gifford signed the 1993 Tiffany & Co. gift registry for the couple, with Don King outdoing everyone by spending $1,250 on a bowl for the newlyweds.

Happier times: Donald Trump and Marla Maples said 'I do' at the Grand Ballroom of the Plaza Hotel on December 20, 1993. She created a bridal registry at Tiffany & Co. two days later

The couple were clearly fans of the classic luxury brand, even naming their daughter Tiffany after Marla gave birth to her just two months before they tied the knot.

DONALD AND MARLA'S 1993 REGISTRY AT TIFFANY

Don King - $1,250 bowl

Mariah and Tommy Mottola - $610 decanter

Monica Seles - $540 pitcher

Howard Stern - $530 crystal sail sculpture

Hugh Hefner's daughter, Christie - $400 wine cooler

Kathie and Frank Lee Gifford - $300 serving platter

The aspiring actress from Georgia wore a satin, off the shoulder Carolina Herrera gown and a $2 million dollar tiara featuring 325 diamonds for her nuptials.

Donald spared no cost for the wedding reception, which saw guests served $60,000 worth of caviar, as well as a feast of sushi, smoked fish, lamb, turkey, beef, and a six-foot vanilla-cream wedding cake.

Marla actually didn't create her bridal registry until two days after their wedding, and New York Magazine reported in its February 1994 issue that 'only a handful of the Trumps' 1,500 wedding invitees [had] stopped in to make purchases' a month after their nuptials.

At the time the article was published, only four of the 24 dinner plates, which retailed for $60 each, were purchased and not one of the 48 soup bowls she requested were picked up.

Pricey gift: Don King, who is pictured at the wedding (left), spent $1,250 on a Tiffany bowl for the newlyweds. Although it is unclear what design he purchased, the luxury brand's Buttercup Bowl (right) retails for $1,395

Having doubts: Howard Stern attended the wedding with his then-wife Alison, and he gifted the couple a $530 crystal sail sculpture — even though he predicted the marriage would fail

Well wishes: Hugh Hefner's daughter, Christie, gifted them a $400 on a wine cooler. This modern 'Cooper' wine cooler from the brand is no longer available, but similar sterling silver items retain for thousands on the Tiffany & Co. website

However, New York Magazine noted that 'someone did, though, splurge on a $530 "sail" sculpture' — and that someone was radio host Howard Stern.

But despite his generous gift, Howard admitted at the time that he thought the marriage was doomed from the start.

'It's probably in poor taste to say it won't last, but I give it four months,' Howard told the Washington Post of their marriage.

Living the life: The couple reportedly received more than $23,000 in wedding gifts from Tiffany & Co

Look of love: Donald and Marla, who also registered with the British luxury brand Asprey, submitted gift lists that totaled more than $60,000

Other guests also spent hundreds of dollars on lavish gifts for the couple, including Mariah and her then-husband Tommy Mottola, who bought Donald and Marla a $610 decanter.

Tennis player Monica Seles opted to gift the newlyweds a $540 pitcher, and Hugh Hefner's daughter, Christie, spent $400 on a wine cooler for them.

Kathie Lee and her now-late husband Frank Gifford gave Donald and Marla a $300 serving platter, but no one shilled out more than Don King, who spent over a grand on one very costly bowl.

Power couple: Mariah Carey and her then-husband Tommy Mottola (left) bought Donald and Marla a $610 decanter. The label's 'Ship's Wheel Decanter' retails for $855 (right)

Happy to give: Kathie Lee and her now-late husband Frank Gifford gave them a $300 serving platter. A holiday serving tray from Tiffany now retails for $175, although sterling silver options from the brand cost thousands of dollars

Elegant dinnerware: Monica Seles, who is pictured with Jerry Seinfeld in 1992 (left), gifted Donald and Marla a $540 pitcher. The brand's 'Ruffle' pitcher (right) retails for $965 and is made out of Venetian glass

Donald and Marla, who also registered with the British luxury brand Asprey, submitted gift lists that totaled more than $60,000.

Although it is unclear if they ever got them, Donald and Marla had asked for a larger 'sail' sculpture that retailed for $770 and a three-foot high compote crowned with a leaping dolphin for a whopping $3,200.

Years before their wedding, Donald had a very public affair with Marla while he was married to his first wife Ivana, with whom he has three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric.

Fit for a princess: Marla wore a $2 million dollar tiara featuring 325 diamonds at her nuptials

Designer dress: The aspiring actress from Georgia wore a form-fitting Carolina Herrera gown to their wedding, which took place just two months after she gave birth to their daughter

He and Ivana divorced in 1992 after 15 years together, and although they were slated to attend his wedding to Marla, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric — who were aged 16, 12, and 9 at the time — opted not to go according to Ivana.

Unsurprisingly, Ivana was not invited to the wedding, and instead, she headed to Aspen, Colorado, to go skiing.

And while Howard was off on the mount of time they would stay wed, his prediction that the marriage wouldn't last was true.

Donald and Marla got divorced after six year of marriage, and he soon started dating Melania Knauss, his current wife.

The couple, who said 'I do' in 2005, have a 10-year-old son Barron, and he is headed to the White House with them.
