The apple never falls far from the tree, they say, and that certainly rings true for Rod Stewart and his brood.

His rarely seen daughter Ruby looks to be following in the Scot rocker's footsteps as she performed with her own band The Sisterhood at Liverpool Echo Arena.

Ruby, 29, looked every inch the rock chick in a tasseled leather jacket and thigh-high boots as she opened for her father Rod on the first night of his epic new tour.

Showing that good genes run in the family, Ruby revealed her model looks as she rocked a flirty playsuit on stage.

The leggy beauty teamed the plunging playsuit with a black leather jacket with tassels on the arms.

Revealing her killer legs, she pulled on a pair of velvet thigh-high boots for her set.

The blonde beauty teamed her hippy chic look with a black wide-rimmed hat, as she tapped along on her white tambourine adorned with a string of feathers.

Her pretty brunette bandmate Alyssa Bonagura strummed alongside her on a green guitar as the pair performed their tracks.

She showed off her voluptuous figure in a pair of black leather shorts and a crocheted jumper as she strummed beside with Ruby.

Ruby is Rod's daughter from his relationship with American model best known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Kelly Kay Emberg.

The legendary Maggie May singer is father to eight children - the eldest are Sarah Streeter, 52, from a previous relationship with art student Susannah Boffey, Kimberly, 35, Sean, 34, whose mother is his first wife Alana Stewart.

He has Ruby, 29, with ex girlfriend Kelly Kay Emberg, and daughter Renee, 22, and son Liam, 20, with ex-wife model Rachel Hunter.

His youngest children are sons Alastair, ten, and Aiden, five with his model and TV presenter wife Penny Lancaster.
