He is well used to wrapping gold around his waist.

But on Monday Floyd Mayweather decided to decorate his neck with some ice instead.

The retired boxing champ was spotted trying on some hefty gold chains in New York's Diamond District.

The 39-year-old was flanked by a small army of personal security guards as he tried on a few gold watches to match.

Apart from the surrounding henchmen and the anchor-weight chains he was adorning himself in, the five division champion looked like he was trying to keep a low profile.

He dressed in dark sneakers, sweats, a hoodie and shades, keeping his hood up and his head down.

Although Money Mayweather retired earlier this year undefeated - after racking up an impressive 49 wins and zero losses - his name continues to circle rumored fight cards... and not even just in boxing.

His penultimate fight was a long awaited bout against Manny Pacquiao, which he won on a unanimous decision.

But talk of a rematch recently sprung up when the Filipino legend claimed the WBO Welterweight belt from Jessie Vargas last Saturday night.

Mayweather had been stripped of the belt after failing to pay a $200,000 sanctioning fee for refusing to vacate his other belts, despite earning $220million from that fight alone.

Indeed on Monday, Manny posted an Instagram video of himself showing off the inner lining of his suit jacket which bore an image of the two fighting.

Another name being thrown around with the Pretty Boy is Conor McGregor, who made history over the weekend by becoming the first UFC fighter to hold two weight division belts at simultaneously, after a flawless victory over Eddie Alvarez.

Although boxing and MMA are two completely different sports, talk of a superfight between McGregor and Mayweather has been doing the rounds for months now, with both men expressing an interest.
