Laughing out loud! Sarah Paulson has director David O. Russell in fits of giggles as they walk the red carpet for his Past Forward premiere 

They were meant to be perfectly poised and poising but these two Hollywood heavyweights were having far too good of a time for that.

Sarah Paulson and director David O. Russell laughed their way up the red carpet for the premiere of his short film Past Forward.

The two friends were having a ball before they even got into the soiree presented by Prada at the Hauser Wirth Schimmel Gallery in Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday night.

Sarah's girlfriend Holland Taylor had a performance on so Sarah was all to happy to be the director's plus one for the evening dedicated to him.

The Joy and American Hustle director partnered with Prada to create the short film Past Forward which will be featured on the fashion house's website.

With such a style powerhouse behind the event, Sarah made sure to put her most fashionable foot forward.

The 41-year-old wore a midnight blue silk dress which had black lace edging on its three-quarter bell sleeves and collar.

The American Horror Story star accessorized the look with a pair of ultra-high suede platforms and carried a bright blue clutch.

The man of the hour meanwhile, wore an iridescent silver suit with a skinny black tie.

Sarah was not joined by much older love Holland who, at 73, is three decades the 12 Years A Slave actress' senior.

Holland was performing on Broadway in The Front Page alongside Nathan Lane, Robert Morse and Jefferson Mays.

Also there to see the short for the first time was Milla Jovovich, Mandy Moore, Demi Moore and Olivia Munn.
