'People view me as a glorified stripper...but sex sells': Chloe Madeley speaks candidly about using her body to boost her business and reveals her drink-driving conviction was her 'lowest point'

  • Chloe, 29, is a personal trainer and runs her own business
  • Her drink-driving conviction left her labelled 'badly behaved celebrity daughter'
  • Realises people expect more from her because her parents are TV presenters Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan but said 'this is who i am'
  • She reveals how she suffered anxiety after years of online bullying

Her selfies of her scantily clad body have turned her into an instagram star, and successful businesswoman - but also opened her up to endless online abuse.

Now Chloe Madeley has admitted, she does not care that she is viewed as a 'glorified stripper' because she is aware 'sex sells'.

The 29-year-old is the daughter of former This Morning presenters Richard Madeley, 60, and Judy Finnigan, 68, and said she found it a struggle growing up in the public eye.

Now a respected fitness instructor she said she was aware people 'expected more from Richard and Judy’s daughter, but I am who I am.'

At 21 she was branded a 'badly behaved celebrity daughter' after she was caught drink-driving and said it was her lowest point.

Chloe Madeley, left, showing off her amazing figure in the gym, admits she found growing up in the public eye as the daughter of famous television presenters Richard and Judy, right, was 'difficult'

Speaking with Adam Pearson, for his new BBC Three talk show 'Home Truths', where he invites familiar faces round to his home for an extremely informal chat, Chloe explained that being the daughter of such well-known television personalities certainly had drawbacks: 'I do think, in my teenage years when I started to get photographed it maybe made life a bit more difficult for me internally.

'Now it’s so funny because I think people view me as the sort of "glorified stripper" on Instagram.

'I think they expected more from Richard and Judy’s daughter, but I am who I am. I don’t really think I understand why people get hurt by my mere presence,' she said.

Chloe has received plenty of criticism for sharing scantily-clad images of herself to show off her ripped physique and promote her personal training venture.

But she insists she doesn't care about the online abuse, having learned to let it 'roll right off her back' and says that it actually helps her business.

'The age old saying of sex sells is absolutely true. Every time I show my body I get a lot more media coverage and my apps and plans sales go [through the roof],' she explained to Adam.

The fitness fanatic struggled to figure out what she wanted to do when she was younger and suffered a lot of online abuse

Chloe also opened up about her drink-driving conviction.

'When I was 21 and I crashed my car and I was over the limit. All of a sudden I fell into that category of the "badly behaved celebrity daughter" and it was horrific.

'When the media got hold of it, it turned into a circus. I look back now and I was really quite young and green, it was quite intense. That was probably a hard time for me and I think that gave me really bad anxiety actually.'

Presenter Adam Pearson, who suffers from rare condition Neurofibromatosis, which causes tumours to grow along nerves, has fronted several other BBC documentaries. He invites famous faces around to his house for his new online chat show 'Home Truths'

Chloe often displays her fantastic figure online to help exhibit the results of her exercise regime and attract clients to her business

Clearly standing defiant in the face of her critics, Chloe feels fulfilled in life and is happy she has a purpose

There is one other person who doesn't like Chloe's passion for pumping iron and making herself super lean and muscly - her mother, Judy.

‘My dad is super proud of me. Me and my dad are super close, he is just my best mate in the world,' Chloe says of her father Richard.

'My mum is utterly perplexed by me and doesn’t understand the health and fitness thing, and she certainly doesn’t understand the aesthetic results that come with it.'

Chloe says she is really close with her father Richard Madeley, but her mother Judy Finnigan is 'perplexed' at her fitness obsession

For Chloe, despite hitting the headlines and getting sent death threats by vicious bullies, the most important thing for her to focus on is her own happiness and feeling fulfilled.

'I have been getting trolled for a long time,' she said. 'It used to give me severe anxiety and panic attacks. I was young and I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life and I was always very much my parents' daughter in my eyes.

The 29-year-old fitness fanatic often thrills her Instagram followers withsexy snaps and has admitted in the past she has been sent death threats on social media

'That lack of self-worth made it very overwhelming, but now that I can actually see what I want to do, it rolls right off my back.

'I just feel really happy and fulfilled and I remember what I felt like as a teenager and in my early twenties and it was worlds apart from this.

'I have a purpose. I know what I am doing and I am good at it and I encourage everyone to sack off the criticism and go after what you want, keep your eyes on the prize and one day you will feel very fulfilled.'
