That's a wrap! Catherine Tyldesley, 33, looked in high spirits after guest presenting the morning breakfast show at Manchester's Key 103 radio station on Monday morning

The soap star rocked a hipster bomber jacket, while she showed off her slender figure in skin-tight distressed jeans.

Adding to her youthful look, the mother-of-one wore white lace-up trainers as she strutted along the wet pavement, swinging a large leather bag.

Topped with a grey woolly hat - complete with a furry pom pom- Catherine's long honey-hued tresses cascaded from her cosy winter cap.

The actress has had a busy week on the radio as she starred on Gaby Roslin's BBC Radio London show on Sunday, where she sang a track from her album, Rise, live on air.

Look the bomb in a New Look jacket like Catherine's

Catherine Tyldesley was spotted leaving Manchester's Key 103 station today sporting a pair of black ripped skinny jeans teamed with a sweatshirt and an embroidered varsity jacket. The actress then accessorised her look with white trainers and a black leather tote.

Nailing two trends in one, this bomber taps into the sports luxe look, as well as folk-style embroidery à la Gucci.

But lucky for us this topper is just a fraction of the cost from New Look. The mainline version has now sold out, but you can still get it in plus size by following the link on the right.

Or alternatively recreate the look with one of the picks from our edit below, with similar styles from River Island, Topshop, PrettyLittleThing and Brave Soul.

Gaby didn't let the multi-talented star get away without teasing some of the details of her character Eva's upcoming storyline on Coronation Street.

'For Eva, over Christmas, we see her living the dream,' she explained, referring to the character's total obliviousness that her on-screen boyfriend Aidan (Shayne Ward) has been cheating on her with Maria Connor (Samia Ghadie).

'It's heartbreaking,' she went on. 'Everytime I get a script I feel so sorry for her. She thinks she's found her prince charming.

All wrapped up: Catherine headed to London's BBC radio studios on Sunday to talk about the various strings to her bow

'She's Little Miss Christmas, she makes Christmas cards with their faces on. But when she finds out, I hear it's going to be quite explosive.'

Of the fact that the long-running ITV soap will be airing six times a week, as of next autumn, Catherine explained: 'Things will be very evenly spread in terms of storylines and there's new characters so our work load won't be too different.

'The plans sound really exciting and the street's getting bigger.'

When Gaby asked after her son Alfie, 20 months, Catherine talked about being a working mother with a young child.

'Every day I think working mums are striving for balance, and I don't think you necessarily get it. But you're constantly trying,' she said, adding that she lives 10 minutes from the Corrie set and so 'can nip home if I need a cuddle fix'.

Catherine went on to perform a cover of The Carpenters' song Close To You, explaining how she has come to take on music as a side career.

'I'm an actress first and foremost but singing for me - I've always done it, it was my bread and butter between acting jobs.

'To do an album was on my bucket list. It's been a dream. My grandfather was a singer, and I'm hoping that my Granddad is up there, feeling proud.

'I always promised him that at some time in my life I would do an album.'

Meanwhile, Catherine has been praised for taking co-star Katie McGlynn under her wing and helping her with her aims to lose weight.

The Coronation Street actress, 22, has taken inspiration from Catherine - who famously dropped from 15 stone to a size 8 - and has started to shed the pounds too.

She's doing so well that her fellow Corrie stars have dubbed her 'Katie McThin', thanks to the advice she has been given by Catherine about what to eat and how to exercise.

A friend of Katie told The Sun: 'Katie was really unsure about how to train and what foods to eat.

'Cath has really sorted her out with some sound advice coupled with some evil work outs. It has taken a while but she has lost a stone and looks super-fit now.

Rising star: Catherine went on to perform a cover of The Carpenters' song Close To You, from her album Rise, explaining how she has come to take on music as a side career

'Kate is really pleased with the results but she loves her nights with food and drink so she still makes sure she has a blow-out now and again.'

Catherine's own sleek figure is down to a rigorous weight-loss regime, which she maintains today and says makes her 'so much happier'.

In an interview with Loose Women in August , Catherine said there are times when she wants to relax her regime.

'It's a struggle,' she said. 'At Christmas time, Fat Cath is dying to make a comeback. I eat that clean now that when I eat junk food I feel awful.'

Coronation Street continues on Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
