Carol Vorderman sent viewers into a frenzy after showing off a 'frozen' face during her Sunday night debut on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.

The former Countdown host, 55, left fans in shock as she was accused of undergoing plastic surgery due to her 'unrecognisable' look. 

As the first star to enter the show, the TV favourite had an immediate impact on audiences with many lauding her sensationally youthful looks yet others commented on her transformed face.

Fans flocked social media on Sunday evening as the ITV jungle-based reality show returned to screens, showing stars having their luxuries removed to be replaced with a primal existence. 

As the winner of the Rear Of The Year award took to screens, Twitter was awash with comments about her complexion and face - with fans claiming she had gone under the knife.

We hate to break it to you, Carol Vorderman, but you're not going to need any glamorous gowns in the I'm A Celebrity jungle!

The television presenter is the queen of recycling clothes, so we reckon she'll be fine with wearing the same khaki kit for the next few weeks. But no doubt she'll miss her designer wardrobe! Mark Norfolk, Clinical Director from Transform, who has not performed any procedures on Carol, has told MailOnline of the star's looks:

'The first thing to strike me about Carol is her over filled cheeks - in my opinion she has had far too much product injected and she's starting to look like a caricature of herself.'

'Add to this her super smooth and line free forehead which are all classic tell tale signs of regular Botox use.'

'It's unnatural for a woman of Carol's age to be virtually line free. There's very limited movement in her face which is doing her no favours.'

Transformed: As she went make-up free she sparked shock among fans 

Mark adds: 'In my professional opinion, she needs to avoid having so much product injected and to leave enough time in between treatments - this way, she'll achieve a more natural look.' 

Aside from her changing face, Carol threw herself fully into the early stages of the competition as she embarked on a terrifying task in which she walked on a plank at the top of a staggering Sydney skyscraper. 

As she walked along the perilous plank, the wind got the best of her and she wobbled along although was successful in her quest. 

She is joined by a bevvy of stars including Larry Lamb, Adam Thomas and Scarlett Moffatt.
