Nervous: Kristina Rihanoff, 39, has revealed she's worried about slipping back into her skimpy dance outfits four months after the birth of her daughter

'I am worried about getting into the costumes,' she admitted. 'I have just a month to get into them, thankfully they are Lycra, but I could look like a stuffed sausage.'

She added that breastfeeding had stopped her going on the diets she would normally use to lose weight as she 'needs the nutrients', but explained she wasn't slowing down her exercise routine.

And Kristina said she was confident that she'd soon be back to  her shape as she revealed: 'My body always reacts great when I train in dancing, it will bounce back!'

Cute couple: Kristina welcomed daughter Milena with partner Ben Cohen in July. The pair met on the 2013 series of Strictly Come Dancing where they reached the quarter-finals

Nothing, however, compares to the health and happiness of her daughter, as she reasoned: 'She’s the most precious thing in the world. It changes you so much as a woman, there is nothing so important as a baby.

'So many things I’d worried about, they became so secondary, so unimportant. It’s a beautiful experience. It has taken me a lot of time to get back in shape.'

She continued: 'Being a mum shifts your priorities. I know my body will never be the same again. But that’s okay.'

Snapping back: Kristina revealed that breastfeeding has stopped her going on the diets she would normally use to lose weight as she 'needs the nutrients'

Kristina shares Milena with partner Ben - who she met on the 2013 series of Strictly Come Dancing - but whilst they may have bonded on the show, she admitted that the work itself was anything but easy.

Discussing the retired sportsman's hearing difficulties, she explained: 'The producers forgot to tell that he is 50 percent deaf.

'So imagine teaching a big rugby player who never danced before, a complete novice, who can’t hear music. It’s a very big task.

'But we actually survived on the show. It was a hard experience. But fun!'

She continued: 'He had amazing dedication to the process and worked really hard which is why we made it the quarter finals.'

Not worried! Kristina revealed she isn't worrying too much about getting back in shape as she revealed: 'My body always reacts great when I train in dancing, it will bounce back!'

However, their achievement on the show was later shadowed by claims they had fallen foul to the 'Strictly curse' (which has seen many a celebrity split from their partners during or shortly after competing).

Ben was married to Abby Blayney and shared two daughters with her when he competed on the show.

However, a year after competing, the pair had split and Ben then struck up a relationship with his dance partner Kristina.

But Kristina does not believe in the so-called jinx, firmly stating: 'The Strictly curse is b******s!'

'Challenging': Kristina also discussed dancing with Ben and whilst they may have bonded on the show, she admitted that the work itself was anything but easy as he's 50 percent deaf

Not convinced: Their achievement on the show was later shadowed by claims they had fallen foul to the 'Strictly curse' but Kristina claimed the curse isn't true and is 'b******s'

She continued: 'People do meet at work. Strictly is a working environment. People meet on the show and they do get together. But it’s nothing to do with the show.

'I think it is about individuals celebrities – who go on the show and who feel like they gain respect for themselves. Maybe want new things in life. Maybe they want a change in life.'

She acknowledged, however, how quickly relationships can be formed between dancers and the celebrities, as she explained you get to see the worst of each other.

Cha cha charming: Kristina made the comments whilst chatting with journalist and Big Brother comments Andy West about her figure and time with Ben

She said: 'There is a bond. You definitely get to know each other quite quickly as it’s a stressful situation. You see the person under stress and see what they are like.

'If you go on dates normally you go on a date and everything is lovely, dinner and wine, and perhaps it will take a long time – a month or maybe years - to get to a stressful situation to see how the person reacts.

'And from hat you will decide if you like them or not. you will see them stripped down to their mentions!'

Kristina is currently gearing up to perform with Gleb Savchenko One More Dance at the Adelphi Theatre on Sunday 11 December.
