Actress Meghan Markle has fallen 'head over heels' for Prince Harry and is ready to make sacrifices to make their relationship work, a friend has revealed.

The 35-year-old star wants to have a future with the prince, 32, and is willing to 'give up all that she is doing' in order to make that happen, the source told People

The couple are currently in a long-distance relationship between London and Toronto, where Miss Markle lives while filming US television legal drama Suits.

The pair have made a number of trips to see each other although they have not yet been seen together in public.

Prince Harry jetted off to Canada to stay with Miss Markle last month and the actress is believed to have returned the visit with a mini-break in London just last week.

She was seen shopping in upmarket Whole Foods on Kensington High Street, just down the road from Kensington Palace.

The visit is the clearest indication yet that the relationship between the divorcee and the fifth-in-line to the throne is serious.

And the timing of Miss Markle's visit is hugely significant, not least because it appears she was in the UK when Harry publicly declared his love for her.

She took time off from filming Suits to be with him.

In his strongly worded statement last week Harry accused the media of intrusion and lashed out at the 'sexism and racism of social media trolls'. His message, via his communications secretary Jason Knauf, was that their relationship 'is not a game – it is her life and his'.

The statement added that Harry was 'worried about Miss Markle's safety' and 'deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her.' In the circumstances it is rather surprising that she was unaccompanied.

The royal romance was revealed less than a fortnight ago after they were given away by matching friendship bracelets both have worn for months.

Prince Harry was most recently seen wearing his bracelet at a charity event on Tuesday.
